Mens Club

Filed in: Designers, Fashion

The second style I love this fall is the androgynous one. It’s time to start looking through your boyfriends closet. As before, I’ve put togheter a list of must-haves and photos for inspiration.

michael kors

White shirt This is the most important basic for this style. For the right mens look, get one with french cuffs. Leave the cuffs sticking out of the jacket or sweather for the extra detail.

Tie Don’t think Avril Lavigne, make the look a little more sophisticated. This doesen’t mean you have to wear the tie pulled up at your neck. Play around. Use it as a belt. Leave it hanging a little loose. Or fasten a broche to it for that feminine touch.

Suit Get you self a pair of gauchos, or tweed pants with a loose fit. If you think it’s too much for you, get a skirt suit. Grey is the key color when looking for a a suit this year.

V-neck sweather This is an important piece cause you can put it over your crisp white shirt when it gets a little cold. Brown or black are the best colors.

Mens cardigan By this meaning the V-neck one with one or two tiny pockets in front. This is one of my favourites. If you don’t want to invest in one, your father probably has one you can borrow.

Vest Another favourite. Most preferably get one that matches your suit. This may get a little expecive, so play around with other solutions.

Pilot sunglasses The right eye wear for this boyish look.

Leather gloves Keep your hands warm during the winter in a more masculine way.

Accessories Shoes, jewelry and purses may all be super feminine. You don’t want people thinking you’re a man. Give the mens look a sexy touch.

Once again, you don’t have to take the style all the way. If you’re afraid of being confused with your boyfriend, try wearing a white shirt and tie to your tight jeans. Or match the suit pants with silk or satin tops.

Photos are from Michael Kors and Ralph Lauren.

  1. Style Bytes » Archive » Create Cool Cufflinks Says:

[…] This seasons masculine style may put many girls in the need of cufflinks. At least the shirt I bought has french cuffs. Untill now I had just planned to borrow my boyfriends cufflinks unless I found something secondhand, but then I came across this DIY project on Craftster. I don’t think all the ones pictured are all that nice, but the idea is good. By making your own you can have any shape and colour wanted. How about some red ones to match your red shoes?
