Crop It
I saw these old pictures of Sarah Jessica Parker for Gap, and I thougt the jeans were cute. This year the fashion is cropped, and making something like this must be pretty easy. Find a pair of old jeans, cut them up in wanted length and just sew on some nice silk bands. I haven’t tried it out myself, I just thought I’d throw out the idea.
I also came across a cropped shirt at Craftster with tutorial added. It shows you how you easily can update that old shirt of yours here.

Thanks for letting me know; I have just moved URL so problems are bound to occur. Still it seems to me that the problem with the link is that Craftster is down at the moment. I will check again in a while and fix it if the URL is bad as well…
