So yesterday was the big Stella-day. I had to be at the university, so I got there five hours after it opened. Needless to say a lot was already gone. I did try the all in one that I had been looking at. Too short. I noticed though that all the dressing rooms were full of clothes people had left behind, and while I was there clothes that had appeared sold out suddenly turned up again. Last year there was all this fuzz about how the Lagerfeld collection was sold out it a day. But I got my two dresses several weeks after the sale started. Actually many of the clothes were 50% off at Christmas time. I’m hoping for the same thing to happen this year, so I’m not worried.

Any lucky bastards who ended up with something?

Upon request I have put together a tutorial for the previously posted bead bracelet. (Sorry for the delay!) It must be said that I’m not too experienced with making jewelry, so you might find much better ways to do this than I have.

You’ll need:

A lock

Beads (I’ve used 32 champagne colored pearls and 4 glass beads in a matching color)

A small fabric flower

A few inches of very narrow ribbon

Waxed thread (preferably in as similar colors to the pearls as possible)

How to:

I used waxed thread instead of metal strings cause I find it easier to work with, and metal has a tendancy to brake. I started off by cutting two pieces of thread and tying them to one of the lock hoops. Then I put on beads on both threads until I had reached the middle. Now I put a needle on the threads and sewed them through the fabric flower. Sew them in so that the left thread now becomes the right thread and the other way around. Continue putting beads on the threads until you have the length you want. End by tying the ends to the other lock hoop. The ribbon I just tied to the flower.
