How sweet life is when you unexpected come across a great deal. I am utterly in love with driving gloves and have for years searched for the perfect pair. I have a black and an ecru pair, but none that are excactly how I want them. Today I came across some perfect leather driving gloves on supersale. My skinny long fingers are always a problem when buying gloves, but these even fit perfectly. I snatched three pairs and sang all the way home.

Since I’ve been craving some fingerless driving gloves I decided to cut the fingers off the black pair. They only had one black pair left or else I would have bought an extra to experiment with. The whole experience was rather scary. The gloves were so nice WITH fingers and the project could fail completely. Then I came to the conclution that fingerless driving gloves can be worn indoors as well as outdoors which expands the possibilities of wear conciderably. Besides, I’ve never ever found a pair. It went well. They would have looked better if it was professionally done, but these are to be worn as a bit hard look, so if they aren’t perfect down to the smallest detail it really doesn’t matter. I hope… If you want to try doing the same thing cut the fingers off a little longer than you’d think. I thought I’d try them rather long at first and shorten them bit by bit, but ended up not shortening them at all. Also remember to fasten all the old stitches or the whole thing will fall appart. Oh, and in case you were wondering here’s one way to do the look, and here’s another (last one from La Femme).
