Motorcycle Mania
Filed in: Fashion, Trend Alerts

I have previously mentioned the motorcycle look that seems to pop up here and there. I am myself desperately looking for a motorcycle jacket with no luck so far. At least I have got hold of a bunch of driving gloves which also are important. If we’re going to trust fashion week in Sao Paulo the motorcycle trend will be even bigger next fall. Already this spring we’ll see some black leather, mostly contrasted with cute dresses and light colors. All the white laces and skin toned colors we see for spring is the perfect contrast for this look. Aviator sunglasses that we have seen for a while and skulls is also essential and is the easy way to add some hardness to an outfit. To make it cheap have a look at the mens department at H&M. You won’t find good aviator sunglasses or skulls at the womens department, but there’s already a nice selection in the mens area.

I must admit that I have many alter-egos when it comes to my fashion sense, and there are times when I want to be a rebel and the motorcycle jacket is the fastest way to that for me. I don’t like to look like I’ve joined a biker group, but to throw on a motorcycle jacket on top of a very girl dress is sooooo cute!

I also have those fashion alter-egos. I can’t choose one style! Isn’t that just lovely? When I had one style I hated shopping…

Having more than one style is key to keep you happy… Would you really want to wear the same style over and over again because then you should just wear a uniform.

That’s true. When I was youger I kept reading articles in magazines on how to find your own style. Often it is presented as such an important thing that I thought I should choose. Sex and the City and Carries multiple personalities saved me from that. :)

[…] Filed in: Fashion, Celebs I came across another picture of Sienna that is a couple of days old where she’s sporting another trend I have written about. This time it is the motorcycle badass look she’s going for. To me she seems to jump on every major trend there is without putting something new into it. That’s why she can never be a real trendsetter. Here she’s wearing a motorcycle jacket that I have been looking for a while with no luck. Seen like this I don’t think it looks that interesting anymore. But I still believe in mixing it with sweet dresses. She’s also wearing a belt much like the one I bought secondhand a few days ago. I think that what she gets wrong here is that it’s so obvious what she’s going for. She’s got the jacket, the belt and she’s all black. I’m surprized she didn’t add a pair of motorcycle boots. […] What is so great about this guy is that he really got that I was interested in the biker style. As I have written about several times, biker inspired styles is a look to keep an eye out for. He gave me a lot of ideas, so in stead of reading Vogue for biker style, it’s much more fun to get some tips from a real biker. I don’t mean for you to dress up like a biker from head to toe (that might get you in trouble), but add a few elements to your outfit if you like the look. Here are some quotes I hope you’ll enjoy: […]
