Beads on a String

Filed in: DIY, Fashion, Jewelry

Updating your jewelry for spring doesn’t have to be expencive or difficult. I bought some beads and grabbed some old jewelry and broken pieces and started making new stuff. Here are a couple of the results.

necklace diy leaf One of my favorite colors for spring is mint, especially mixed with brown. I have a lot of brown clothes, so the easy way to go was to make some mint necklaces. The leaf I got for free at a flea market. They thought it was too ugly to put a price on. I gave it a polish and it looked just fine. Anything can be hung on beaded string like this though, and I bet you’ll find some old stuff lying around that will be perfect for spring.

The skull I got from a bracelet at the mens department at H&M and I just put it on a string of pearls. This way I get the skull incorporated into my look while still having it look at least a little classy.

New Feature: Useful Posts

Filed in: Misc

There are some posts I write that may be relevant longer than they appear on the front page. So I decided to collect some of these under Useful Posts to the right at the sidebar. Every time I write about a seconhand store or indie designer, these will go under there for you to find easily. You can at any time suggest new stores or designers as comments to those posts. I hope you find this new feature helpful.
