Milan #2

Marni

I was really excited to see this, so maybe that resulted in a slight disappointment. Don’t get me wrong: There’s a lot of great stuff here. I love the colors, the necklaces, the mix and match. But once in a while it didn’t get as great as I had expected.

Emilio Pucci

Is it only me or is this a little 90’s? The first outfit looks like something I wore back in those days. The colors make me uncomfortable and some of the patterns are too much. I am not thrilled, but there were some pieces I liked here.

Bottega Veneta

Love the checked skirt matched with the grey cardigan. There are actually many things I like about this collection. Not to mention the men’s outfits. I love the 50’s thing that seems to be evolving for our guys.

Prada

Half shapeless and half cave-womanish. Faded animal prints and lots of fur. I’m not feeling this. Not at all. Even the models look miserable.

  1. Samantha Says:

UCH! What’s with Marni? It looks like the models raided the sale racks at JC Penney. I hate when designers don’t have a single color, shape, or fabric running thematically through their collections. It seems like a lot of the collections this season were like that. It’s just sloppy and doesn’t make you want to buy the stuff.

so far i love the marni line

Samantha, I know what you mean. There must be something that pulls it all together. I still liked a lot of the Marni line looking at one piece at a time. :)
