Sienna Miller Again

Filed in: Celebs, Fashion

sienna miller I came across another picture of Sienna that is a couple of days old where she’s sporting another trend I have written about. This time it is the motorcycle badass look she’s going for. To me she seems to jump on every major trend there is without putting something new into it. That’s why she can never be a real trendsetter. Here she’s wearing a motorcycle jacket that I have been looking for for a while with no luck. Seen like this I don’t think it looks that interesting anymore. But I still believe in mixing it with sweet dresses. She’s also wearing a belt much like the one I bought secondhand a few days ago. I think that what she gets wrong here is that it’s so obvious what she’s going for. She’s got the jacket, the belt and she’s all black. I’m surprized she didn’t add a pair of motorcycle boots.

DIY: Chain Handles

Filed in: DIY, Fashion, Handbags

I know I have been lazy with the DIY projects lately, but I at least figured out a way to update your old handbag. I have some other ideas in mind though, so there’s more to come.

chain purseChain handles on bags are really hot right now and will be at least for another season. Take for example the Stam bag by Marc Jacobs. If you have an old bag lying around you can easily recreate the look. First of all you need one meter or slightly more of golden chains. I bought mine from a hardware store for a couple of dollars. You also need something to fasten it on the bag with. I put on the locks from two necklaces. This way you can easily take it off when you’re bored with it.

chain purseNow the only problem is fastening the chains to the purse. I was lucky enough to have metal rings on the purse I used. If you don’t you have to concider the material the purse is made in. Is it a fabric that won’t fringe you can simply make holes with a thick needle. If it will fringe you can sew on two hoops with a thick thread. You can also use those metal rings you put on with a hammer that makes durable holes in any fabric. These are to get in any store they sell sewing equipment in.

chain purseAll done it will look like this. When you’re bored of the handles you can wear the chain as a necklace or a belt.

Alexander McQueen

I guess one bird in the hair is better than ten on the roof. Or something… Actually I think the hats are kind of cute, but I guess people would just freak out if I attempted to wear one. As a big fan of tweed I am glad to finally see a little more of it. Here it’s mixed with metallic fabrics and it looks great.

I had such high hopes for this one. But to me it seems that I like some designers best for spring and others for fall. At least I have ended up having very different favorites for fall than I had for spring. I like that there is more color and patterns in this collection than in many of the others. I like the mix and match. But it doesn’t all get to me as it should.

Miss Moss Is Back

moss kate hologram Or at least that is what Fashion Week Daily reports. Not only the hologram of her that closed Alexander McQueen’s show suggests that, but she has also reunited with Dior for their fall campaign. Seems like nothing will break this girl!
