The first package was a pair of heels that I bought on eBay. Totally unecessary, but honestly I never thought I would win them because of a striking resemblance to the Manolo Blanik’s that Carrie called an urban shoe myth in Sex and the City. They started at $12.72 and no one ever bid against me. I suspect the reason was that the seller called them (copied from the headline): “Sexy Slutty Fettish.” Mine on the left and Manolo’s on the right. Ok, so they’re not perfect when you see them both together like this but they cost a fraction of the price.

The second was what my mom and youngest sister called a “care package” that contained a book, tension tamer tea, sweets, brownies, facial masks and a whole box full of other things. I already got my birthday presents from them, so this was just some stuff to make me feel better because I’m so busy studying.
This must be my lucky day.
