Women Are The New Men

The masculine look is still going strong, only I think it looks better now than it did. It’s sexier and more laidback. It shouldn’t look like you borrowed your boyfrieds suit, you’ll need a fitted one. And you can also button down that shirt and show a little skin. I love the little detail in the bowtie. It can make a nice addition to an otherwise feminine outfit to bring in a little of the masculine look.

Bottega Veneta, Stella McCartney, Véronique Branquinho and Lanvin.

I wish I could pull this off. I just end up looking frumpy, I think this is a look for the tall.

Hmm… Maybe the suit works best for the tall, I’m not sure, but you’d anyway be able to bring in a few details if you don’t feel comfortable in the look like here, like a bowtie, a tie, a white shirt or something. :)

[…] There’s a difference between being a tomboy and dressing in chic outfits with a masculine touch. You can still maintain your girliness while rocking these rough pieces by accessorizing with feminine earrings, necklaces, bracelets, and handbags. Marc Jacobs’s Spring collection at Fashion Week (as seen in PaperMag) was an overly dramatic interpretation of masculine women’s gear. Style Bytes notes that the latest masculine look is sexier and more laid back, but don’t try stealing your boyfriend’s duds to pull off this look. […] Filed in: Fashion, CelebsI’ve been watching The L Word lately and I am becoming more and more fascinated by Shane’s style. She has the perfect masculine look: Blazers with jeans, converse with everything, masculine cut shirts, neck ties… It looks so effortlessly cool. Her features and hairstyle is of course playing to her favor, still, Shane has become my biggest inspiration for the masculine style. I couldn’t find good pictures of her best outfits, but I’ll try to recreate her look from the episode I saw yesterday later today. You can also check out this fan site where you’ll find screencaps from all the episodes. […]
