Outfit: Finally Weekend

Filed in: Fashion, Outfits

outfit Fridays always has a bad start. I have a really early lecture and both the teacher and the guy who cleans the building(!) is giving me a hard time. I left class today feeling like I had to make up for those two awful hours by doing something extra nice. I went shopping for lots of nice food and made a killer lunch. For dinner we had clams and white wine. To go with all the nice food I had to wear a dress and heels. That’s my way of flipping the bird to those stupid people taking their miserable lives out on me. Oh, and screw winter! (It started snowing again today.)

Dress: H&M (The one I bought yesterday. It can be tied around the waist but I used a belt instead today.)
Shoes: Unisa
Singlet underneath: Mens H&M
Slip: Secondhand
Belt: Secondhand, eBay
Necklaces: First is my mother’s engagement ring on a chain, second is an heirloom from my grandma, bottom two are from Tama Pieces.

Big Collars

Filed in: Designers, Fashion, Trend Alerts

The collar seems to be in focus for fall and I’ve already mentioned all the clown inspired collars that were seen on the runways. A more important keyword though is BIG. Jackets, sweaters, dresses; you’ll find big collars on everything. A couple of designers even took it so far that the collar can be used as a hood. The most accessable for us is probably the knitted sweather with a slouchy collar. I bet many of you already have one in your closet too.
