What To Buy
I have for months kept a list of what I need/want for spring/summer, and now I’m finally getting closer to completing it. There are still a few things missing though:
Wooden wedges I have a pair on the way that I ordered on eBay, so if everything works out, it’ll soon be crossed off the list.
Floral dress I want one in that will work as a substitute for the ones in Anna Sui’s spring collection. I thought those would be easy to find, but I guess I was wrong.
Baggy dress May be a tricky one.
High waist pants They don’t seem to be found anywhere at my price range.
Colorful leggings So many people hate leggings, but I must admit that I’m quite fond of them. A lavender pair would be great.
Yellow dress I got one on eBay, but I wasn’t too happy with it. I have a bid in for another one, so I’m hoping to cross it off soon. Update: I lost the dress. Now I have to start from scratch. Darn, it was the most important thing left on the list (except the shorts).
Black wrap dress I really want one with a 40’s look to it.
Short khaki shorts It should be easy to find, but so far I’ve had no luck. I think they may have a perfect one on Mango, so I’m planning to stop by there soon.
Chain prints Not essential, but it would be fun to have a dress or shirt.
White or red framed sunglasses I actually found white framed aviators today, I just have to think about it. If things don’t work out I have a DIY project in mind.
I like to have full control over what I need and want at all times. I have even started shopping for fall. This way I make less bad impulse buys and my money last longer. Cheap and fun secondhand finds are always allowed though.

she’s also got a floral dress. i think h&m might have one in a 50s style. i saw a pic in a members style diary. but she lives in england, so we might not get so lucky.

Ah, I didn’t notice! :)
H&M at OsloCity is supposed to get in all the H&M-stuff, so unless it’s too old I should find it. Thanks for the help!

I try to have lists, too, but they’re more for long-term staples (you know: D&G tuxedo, Prada LBD, Chanel Jacket) kind of thing), not season to season….I must get better about it!

I believe I seen red framed sunglasses at H&M last time I was there. Also I totally agree with you about secondhand finds… except with me sometimes even that can get expensive!

I love it! I keep an on-going list as well, it really does help to stay focussed. Since I just got my wedges (pictured on my blog today), on top of my current “need” list is a peach dress shirt (not necessarily summery, is it?). But, since I am incredibly cheap about most things, we’ll see. It took my 3 years to finally get the shoes (but I only paid $30 American).

Tessaj, those kinds of things are only in my imagination for now. Except I have a vintage dior clutch on my list. Anything else is out of the question while I’m a student. :)
BrownEyedGirl4Life, I better check H&M again! I stay clear of the expencive secondhand stores, and I can’t order anything over $30 on eBay because of the tax limits. So usually I’m fine.
Rebecca, Love the wedges! It almost the same color as the ones I ordered. Some of my items can take years too, but I like always having something to hunt for.

I must admit that I have posted quite a few wedges on my blog but have yet to find the right one for me. I want one that is colorful and fun, but I also want it to be affordable. I think this will complete the S/S wish list!

It’s hard to find the perfect ones! I also had very spesific ideas of how they would look, and now I think I’ve found them.

Thanks! Even though I’ve (finally) figured out how to make them I haven’t come across lavender tights nor leggings. I’ll see if I find the ones you saw!
