Seamed Stockings

Filed in: Accessories, Fashion, Links, Sale Alerts & Discounts, Shopping

seamed stockings 40s I think there’s something so eternally sexy about seamed stockings. They go in and out of style, but I can never seem to get over my crush. Worn with a very unrevealing outfit, like a buttoned up shirt and a pencil skirt, they give such an understated sexiness. And now, during spring when it can still be a bit chilly, it’s nice to have a few different stockings to choose from.

StockinGirl, that I wrote about a few days ago, carry a wide selection. (Dont forget the 10% discount with the use of code SB10.) However, for some very affordable ones, you can check out Yandy Lingerie that among others have these for $3.95. I’ve got them myself and I like that they are seamed without being fishnet stockings (like they often are).

Vintage Skirt

Filed in: Fashion

skirt leggings sartorialist outfit vintage The Sartorialist posted this picture yesterday with the text:

“This is a vintage skirt worn high on the waist with a wide leather belt”

It made me think that skirts don’t really need to be the right size to look good. Even though this seems to be the right size for the girl it made me think that the same effect would be possible with a skirt that is a little too big held up by a wide belt. This opens up a whole new world within vintage shopping! I guess there are some limitations when it comes to the shape of the skirt, but it gave me some ideas.
