Super Size Me

The trend has for a while moved towards a more oversized and unstructured look. I must admit that I have been fighting this cause sometimes change is hard. Lately I have become more and more open to the idea, and I think it’s time to accept that fashion is changing. It started with the baggy dresses that I have been craving ever since Chloe’s spring collection. I’ve also grown fond of the idea of oversized jackets and sweaters. Marc Jacobs has been one of those to push this look forward. One of the reasons I have been resisting the change is probably that it’s harder to pull off. A key might be to mix oversized garments with figure hugging ones. The waist belt can also be of great help to define some shapes. You’ll probably be able to follow my own trials and fails in the outfit posts. Here’s at least what you can expect for fall:

Marc Jacobs, Chloe, Emanuel Ungaro and Véronique Branquinho.

Behnaz Sarafpour, Marni, Missoni and Balenciaga.

From a very dressed up Saturday it’s casual Sunday. As usual I was the most dressed up person at the party, but I think people are getting used to it and I have stopped feeling embarrassed. Today’s outfit on the other hand would have blended right in. I suck at dressing for the occation because I always let my mood control what I’m wearing. A few too many beers yesterday gave today a slow start. I did go to a couple of flea markets, but had no luck. The first one was out in the rain and the second one was in this weird loft somewhere where they only sold crap. The fresh air did me good though.
