The last few days pictures of Christy Turlington wearing the ensamble to the right have been flourishing the internet. Some hated the outfit while others loved it. My only concern is that it’s taken straight out of the catwalk - the whole outfit is from Chloè’s spring collection the only difference being that Christy tucked the shirt into the skirt something Chloè didn’t do.

The main focus in this outfit, in my opinion, is the play with contrasts. The masculine shirt and tie vs. the silky and girly skirt. I tried to use these elements in my own outfit today. I quite unintendedly ended up with the same color scheme (I don’t have a whole lot of ties and shirts in my closet) and I also wear my favorite shoes these days that are pretty similar to the ones from Chloè. That way I maybe did the same mistake I felt Christy did - copying it too much. But then again the Chloè outfit was one of my favorites from the spring collections…

I’m doing a lot of copying when getting dressed these days, but it feels so much easier to do it that way while I’m having my finals because it takes less time. I hope you still get something out of it though.
