Today I’m testing wearing a skirt as a dress. I didn’t think I had any skirts that would work, but I had an extra look and found this. Actually I’m wearing two skirts on top of each other as both were sheer. I tried it first without a belt for that baggy look and it looked really cute from the front, but the skirt wasn’t wide enough to prevent me from looking oddly shaped in the back. In other words, if you want the baggy look to work you should get a skirt with a bit of width. If you don’t feel comfortable without a bra you can just buy some ribbons to sew on as straps. It’s done in seconds and will prevent it from looking weird with a bra and will also prevent it from falling down.
The heels are from H&M and they turned out to be in suprisingly good quality. I wore them all the time last summer and the heel only show a little bit of wear. Heels usually have to reheeled often, but these shoes will last me a few years before I have to do that. I don’t know if all H&M shoes are that good, but I saw some great green wedges last time I was there.
If you like the belt I saw two like this at Vintage Amore for $8 and $6. It’s less than what you have to pay on eBay and they have butterflies as clasps - way cuter than mine!
