A few times a year the street I live in is closed for traffic and is turned into a gigantic market place. There are free concerts in the park and the pubs move out in the sun. You can eat all kinds of food, especially Asian food, and it’s all very cheap. All the stores move out into the streets and there are loads of stands that sell secondhand clothes and fake designer handbags. I am broke so I didn’t bring home anything, but at least I took some photos.

One of my favorite stores, Fretex, burned down a while back, but today they were back in form of a stand in the streets. They sold some amazing bags made out of vintage fabrics, belts and chains that I might just have a go at copying.
I had always wondered why our nextdoor neighbour got fake designer handbags delivered through the windows in her apartment. That was until I saw her selling them on the street today. She had a pretty great fake Chanel handbag in ecru leather - one of those quilted ones with chain handles. It was only $50, but I didn’t have any money.

Today I’m going nautical, with a little twist on the skirt. I didn’t get the pictures to look right this time. I might take new ones when I’ve got a little more time.
