Today I kept staring into my closet having no idea what to put on. I hate it when that happens - it can take hours to find just a simple outfit. I had practically given up when I saw the crotcheted collar I bought at a flea market a few months ago. I thought I’d use it for something. I don’t know whether the outfit I ended up on is successful, but at least it’s a little different.

I got inspired by the fall collections for the t-shirt. My plan is to make another post on this later when I do it properly, but for now I just pinned the collar on the t-shirt with safety pins. That look is meant to contrast with the short shorts and the heels.

After looking at the picture I may change to black shoes.

A while back The Sartorialist posted a picture of a girl carrying a cylinder shaped purse. I don’t think it’s the last we’re going to see of this as several designers used the same shape for their bags in the fall collections. I doubt we’ll be seeing much of these in stores any time soon so my best bet is to keep an extra eye open when secondhand shopping. I love bags that are a little out of the ordinary.
