I’ve been too busy for glam these days. This morning I got dressed for a breakfast with my family a 40 minute uphill walk away in the rain. Jeans and wellies seemed like the only reasonable choice and I wasn’t really feeling like making something more out of it. I promise to be more fun soon; I bet you must be sick of seeing these jeans by now.

Three dog collars from a thrift store happened to be all I brought home from Fredrikstad. I’m not even sure what to use them for I just thought they were kind of nice and it was about all I could afford. I’m thinking they can be worn as quirky chokers to an otherwise toned down outfit. It may be a bit too weird though. What do you guys say; is it wearable?

Sometimes there’s just too much happening. When I came home from the festival it was right to a family dinner followed by a family breakfast today. It’s been really busy.
Now I’m back though and it’s the last time I’m leaving the city this summer. I am looking forward to fall and getting back into my old ways. Fall is my favorite time of the year.

I was supposed to come home today, but I´m staying a day longer. We thought we only would get tickets for one day at the music festival, but some sort of mistake was made an we got artist passes. That way we have access to the backstage with free drinks along with all the concerts. We couldn´t just leave behind that!
I went shopping yesterday. What´s so great about smaller cities is that the sales are amazing. People don´t seem to fall for the same items as they do in bigger cities. I found an amazing pair of shoes - dark distressed silver with a chunky heel. The problem is that even at $30 I can´t afford them. I´m still trying to figure out how to get my hands on them. I wish I had known that everything at the festival would be free cause then I wouldn´t have spent my money on beer.
The only things I´ve bought are three dog collars at a thift store for a dollar each. I thought they might make fun necklaces as they are quite nice. Now I know that I am a size 40 in dog collars. Good to know…

Today I am going to Fredrikstad for a music festival tomorrow. Then it’ll be all about jeans and t-shirts. I’m trying to get better at dressing up these outfits so I’m bringing some accessories, among others the cassette tape buckle I got from Sveet Couture (perfect for a music festival). Today I’m wearing my new favorite earrings. They sparkle and are so big that they can dress up anything.
I will have Internet access so I’ll probably do some blogging. If something should go wrong though I’ll be back on Saturday.
Since I’m gone for such a short time I’m packing in my new H&M bag.

Guise posted this awesome link for different ways to tie your shoelace. I tried the method on the picture on my Converse and it immediately gave them a completely different look. It must be the simplest way to update your shoes ever.

I’ve tracked down another vintage store for you, and this time I’ve found one that is extremely affordable; PopFizz Vintage. Dresses are around $10 and shoes the same, and I saw a Givenchy skirt at $14. If you look at the bargain bin you’ll find lots of dresses and other stuff at around $5. Not only are the prices amazing, they have a pretty big selection, even for men.

I didn’t watch TV all day yesterday as planned, but went to see the Austrian movie Dog Days. It’s absolutely worth checking out as it was very good (a little chocking at times though).
Today I have finally cought up on sleep and I am ready to dress up a little again. I got the rosary for £0.01 from Jordan River Shop on eBay.

Pinc sells handmade one of a kind jewelry that is worth to check out. A necklace will cost you around $80 and earrings around $40, but then you get some really unique stuff. Unfortunately they sell out fast but to get a better chance you can sign up to the mailing list and you’ll be notified every time they update the store. (Thanks Amanda!)

After days of parties, nights without sleep, shopping and giant sleepovers, I can’t think of anything better to wear than jeans and a t-shirt. I’m not even going to try to dress it up in any way. I slept 12 hours last night, but still it feels like I have tons of sleep to catch up. I have had fun though!
Today all I am doing is to make sushi and watch TV.

One of my favorite looks for fall is layering, and then especially it from Marc Jacobs and Marc by Marc Jacobs. I didn’t especially like either collection at first sight, but Marc Jacobs has a way of making me react that way, and later have me love him more than anything. This time I went from hating the collections a little bit to making them my biggest influence for fall.
Must haves for me for this look are long day dresses, long sleeve tees, arm warmers and knitted hats. The good thing though is that this look can probably be created by what you already have in your closet. Pile on to keep you warm when the cold sets in and you immediately have got the look.
LaRedoute showed in their catalog ways to translate this into real life. They also used the dress as the main garment. That’s probably one of the things that I like about this look - it’s about dressing up for winter. You can wear your favorite garments, you just have to wear something underneath them.

The last few days have been busy so sorry for lack of posts. I’ve had my sister sleeping on the sofa since Thursday, and last night we were six people sleeping in this tiny apartment (two on the floor, three in the bed and one on the sofa). During these days I have done some fall shopping though and I am trying to get the most important items crossed off the list as soon as possible. You’ve already seen the knitted dress. I’ve also bought a beret, authentic military items and a huge leopard handbag. The military items are purely for decorative purposes and nothing political.
Usually I am very stressed out about finding all the things that I want for a new season, but this time it has all run by so smoothly that I think it’ll work out fine. It’s probably a little because I don’t have that many items on the list this time (at least not yet) and a little because the stores I like are getting better at picking up trends fast. The only thing that I feel like I have to have is a long dress that I can wear on weekdays. And then I’m all set for fall. Hopefully.

Embroidery may feel a little old lady like, but at the same time I like the idea of investing money in clothes with well made details. Embroidered clothes is one of those things you should look out for for fall.

Temperley, Ralph Lauren, Andrew Gn and Ralph Lauren again.

It’s too hot to think about what to wear, but I finally settled on this. If I could I would run around naked today, that’s how hot it is!
Yesterday I went to an Hells Angels party. It didn’t get very wild, but they’re continuing the party today, so I might pop by hoping to get invited back to the Hells Angels house.

It’s been a while since my last round of basics shopping, but now I have some PayPal money to spend and I thought I’d get all that stuff I needed from American Apparel. As I’ve said earlier the American Apparel store is the most expencive place to by the stuff, so I turned to eBay this time. I got:
Men’s zip hoody in heather I got the smallest men’s size in stead of the girly hoody only because the girlies are very short. I want something that looks a little more masculine.
Fine jersey t-shirt in white I’ve got no white t-shirts. It’s about time.
Thermal henley shirt in melange olive These looks just like what every grandfather in the world wear. I love the look of them.
Long sleeve t-shirt in black and navy I hate the small selection in colors on these, but I need them for winter. They are perfect for layering and will work under dresses and tees for a Marc Jacobs look.
