Outfit: Relaxing

Filed in: Fashion, Outfits

outfit dress red heels Today is the first day in more than a week that I have had the time to relax. I’m already feeling a little restless.

I saw a girl in Stockholm wearing a dress much like this with vintage yellow heels. It looked unexpectedly cool. I chose red heels for today.

Shopping in Stockholm

Filed in: Fashion, Shopping

I wasn’t supposed to do any shopping as I can’t afford it, but I ended up buying three things. Unknowingly those three things ended up being what every Stockholmer wear: The skinny jeans that all guys and girls wear, the short shorts that all girls wear and the v-neck cardigan that all guys wear. None of these things are as common in Oslo as in Stockholm and I was actually surprised to see how big a difference there was. More of a punk/rock & roll look was extremely common, only these people didn’t necessarily have anything to do with the music. I love guys in skinny jeans though - reminds me of Ewan McGregor in Trainspotting. Yummy.

I’m back!

Filed in: Misc

After a few eventful days in Uppsala and Stockholm I am back in Oslo.

The first night was spent in Uppsala where my friend Ida Maria threw a swap party. A bunch of girls brought their old clothes to swap. I hadn’t brought anything but they were kind enough to let me choose something.

The next day we went to Stockholm. The plan was to party and spend the night there. We didn’t have much money and we didn’t have a place to sleep. To start the party we bought a couple of bottles of Champagne and went to a park. Then we went to a concert at a club where the bouncer fell so in love with us that we got in for free.

I discovered a new trick for getting free drinks. We found a few Euros that you can’t use in Sweden. I went to the bar and stood there with the Euros in my hand looking a little confused while saying “Can I buy something with these?”. The guys standing around fell for it every single time and they all pitched in a little money. That way we ended up drinking for free all night without any unnecessary flirting.

A place to sleep had still not been sorted out, but we ended up finding a couple of guys that had two sofas to lend us. Poor guys, they thought they were going to get laid, even thought we were very clear that we only wanted a place to sleep, and we passed out the moment we got there. We escaped the place before they woke up and hitchhiked to Fittja were we could take the train back to Stockholm.

The last day we mostly spent walking around in Stockholm doing some shopping and sightseeing. In the end we were completely exhausted. We had been living the rock & roll life for a couple of days and we hadn’t even had a chance to take a shower or change clothes. It was so much fun though and I am glad I went even though I was coming down with a cold and didn’t have any money.
