DIY: Fabric Art
Filed in: DIY, Home Decor

At flea markets I often come across nice scraps of fabric but I’m not really sure what to do with them. We needed something to hang on the walls so I decided to make a few pictures.
I bought three cheap canvases, cut the fabric to fit them, and nailed them on to the wooden frame. Since the fabric had a repeating pattern I wanted it to go through all the three pictures. Pictures like this can be an idea for old clothes you love the fabric of that don’t fit you, old curtains or anything that you have lying around. I payed about $20 for all three canvases, but in cheaper stores you can get away for way less.

Wow, that\’s a great idea! I\’ve been re-decorating my bedroom recently and wanted some nice canvases to hang on my walls, but all the ones I wanted were expensive, and much too overpriced. This is a perfect idea which I\’ll be sure to use!

That is a great idea. And you could make them as big or as tiny as required. I just moved to a new house, so I have lots of new wall space to fill up. This would work perfectly!

Wow, that looks great indeed. Good idea - it is a unique way to dress up the wall to give it an aesthetic touch. Will definetly do up my wall. Thanks.
