There has been a little talk about wearing suspenders as part of an outfit. I posted a picture here a while back that I loved. I decided I had to test it out my self.

I feel that for it to work (and not just look slutty) it has to be contrasted with something less sexy. I went for the most baggy dress in my closet. The stockings start about where the dress ends so that the suspenders won’t show at all time. The suspenders will still be exposed occasionally and reveal some unexpected sexiness.

I feel a little like Pippi Longstocking, but she’s cool so she’s not the worst person I can look like.

In a couple of weeks I am going to a wedding. Normally I would just wear whatever is in my closet as I can’t afford anything else. Yesterday however my dad gave me money for a dress; enough to make it a really nice one. The only problem is that I have no idea what to go for. In the middle of August it’s still summer and I would probably have to go for a more summery dress. I would like something I could wear this fall too. I don’t want something too dressy either.

I will be checking out what’s in the stores today so I might get some alternatives, in the meantime I would love to hear your ideas.

Sometimes an unexpected detail is all you need to dress up an outfit. Quirky things like scissors and razor blades popped up on the runway shows. It’s August 1st and fall is not far away. Over the past few months I have gathered together what I found the most interesting in the runway collections. To start rounding up everything I’ll start with the most basic; colors.

Black & Gray

The two most important colors. Black because it’s eternal and gray because it’s everywhere this season.

Bright colors

For details like handbags, shoes, buttons, gloves, you should go for the bright but clear colors. Red and blue are probably the most important, and then especially red as it was very frequent on accessories. You can of course also go for garments in these colors, but then you can mix them with black and gray shades.

Metallics

Gold has ruled the fashion scene for a long time. While it’s still big, silver is starting to take it’s place.
