Yesterday’s outfit was subject to great discussion; some of you loved it while some of you hated it. It’s strange what a small detail like garters/suspenders can do to an outfit. The dress has also been discussed back and forth in another post. I felt good in the outfit though and the feeling hasn’t changed even though many of you are far from fans.

I find myself recycling outfits these days. Even though there are tons of outfits I never wore I guess I am lacking inspiration now that it’s end of season: A little too warm for fall clothes and a little sick of summery dresses. So today I’m ending up on one of my old outfits that is a little in between.

A while back I saw a picture in a magazine of Milla Jovovich wearing a dress I loved. I cut out the picture and saved it to remind me of it if I ever came across a similar one. When the La Redoute catalog came I was pleased to see a dress that had some of the same look as that dress. At Ytligheter I came across another dress with an even more similar look from Burberry London. I am seriously concidering ordering the dress from La Redoute along with this dress.

Fur

Fur has recently been labelled one of the most important trends by Style. Look for faux fur or secondhand. A small detail is all you need really.

Knits

Bundle up in knits this season. A knitted dress is a must along with a chunky knitted hat and a cardigan.

Brocade

Brocade continues to be hot after the Russian trend last year.

Patent leather

Not only on shoes, but on bags and coats. I’d go for something small though cause this won’t last forever.

Tweed

Tweed is for me a classic and always belong to fall/winter.

Slik & satin

Mix with tweed for a daytime look and wear alone for nightime parties.

Leather

A leather jacket is a practical choice for fall. I want a cocnac one. Long leather gloves and boots are also great choices.

Lightweight materials

Layering is the keyword this season so you can layer up with lighter materials, most preferably mixed with heavier ones, for the right look.
