Blue & Gray

I think I must have had the Marc by Marc Jacobs collection on my mind when I went secondhand shopping today cause I didn’t end up with a thing that wouldn’t slide right in there in terms of colors. All the shades in the above palette is picked from that collection. Now check out what I got…

1. The long blue peasant dress was the item I was most uncertain about and it was the most expensive. I figured it would be practical at the same time as it’s nothing like what I own from before.
2. A blue leather tie that was mostly for fun. It’s darker in color than on the picture.
3. A John Deere tie for my boyfriend. He loved it.
4. A long gray satin dress that I figured I could use for layering.
5. A mink brooch that I am going to glue some sort of gem in the middle of. I got it for free.
6. Long blue gloves.
7. Dark brown leather shoulder bag.
8. A blue skirt that I thought was really ugly at first, but then fell in love with.
All in all I ended up spending about $50. The blue peasant dress was almost half of the cost.

One of the things I want next is an oversized tee with an 80’s feel to it. Since I don’t own one I borrowed one from my boyfriend. It could have been bigger, but it’s at least larger than what I normally wear.
I’ve mentioned it before, but one of the things I want for this fall is a long day dress. I wore a lot of long dresses in the 90’s but in the past few years it has been completely gone from my wardrobe. It was the sight of an outfit in the Marc by Marc Jacobs’ collection that had me change my mind. First I hated it because it looked just like what I would wear when I was about 14. It took me a long time to realize that I loved the look. Now it’s one of my biggest inspirations for fall.
