The other day while being at a store I flipped through Illustrations Now! and I immediately fell for the illustrations of Paula Sanz Caballero. She uses fabric in her work and the characters speak to me in a way that I found very inspiring fashion wise. Later I found out that she has been printed in magazines like Vogue and Elle which didn’t surprise me at all. The women in her work look so graceful and classy and at the same time I feel that you can make up little stories around the images. I tried to find the one that caught my attention originally, but I had no luck. Here are a few others though. A quick Google search will leave you with a whole lot more.

I haven’t felt like dressing up at all in a couple of days. Probably because I’m not feeling too well. Yesterday I wore jeans, t-shirt and a hoody but never got around to taking pictures. Today I’m a little cold so I’m bundling up. Hope I’m not coming down with something cause everybody else are wearing shorts and t-shirts!

Gold buttons

This is probably as far as I’ll go with the Napoleonic influence.

Harlequin collars

If you want something that lasts don’t go for these, but if you want something trendy but still out of the ordinary, these collars are perfect.

Embroidery

One of the most luxurious details on the runway.

Belted coats

The belted waist continues to be the thing. During winter you can belt up your coat as well.

Military details

The military jacket from last year has now been swapped with smaller details. Find a nice medal secondhand or look for copies.

Black tights

Black tights were a part of about half the outfits on the runway, or at least it could seem that way. Invest in a nice pair of tights. If you’re not a fan of black tights, go for a pair of ribbed tights in gray.
