For years I’ve had this thing for emerald colored jewelry. The color is so great for fall, especially together with pink or gray clothes. Last weekend I saw a pair of great earrings at a flea market but I ended up not buying them and I’ve regretted it every since. Luckily eBay usually comes to the rescue. When I first was at it I wanted to find a nice emeral coctail ring as well. I like the square ones the best. The seller YoNeed Jewelry has a nice selection of pieces. If you’re not comfortable with online shopping you should have a look at H&M, I know they have a ring in right now. They’re of course fake while on eBay you can easily get lucky and come across the real thing at a very low price.

When I am very busy or don’t feel well (PMS is a common cause) I often seem to lose track of the fun in fashion. I end up thinking too much or thinking too little. Finding an outfit feels more like a ‘have to’ than a ‘want to’. Getting dressed should be a joy. So today I found the need to empty my mind. I started by cleaning the apartment. I need everything to be nice around me for my creativity to float freely. Then I started messing around in the closet. I’ve got many great items I don’t even wear because I forget about them. It’s important to get a good overview. Then I let all my guards down. I didn’t want to think about practicality, what don’t match or anything like that. It’s not that things have to be so strange or new all the time, it just has to be personal, and I think personal comes when you don’t consider what’s around you too much.
I feel like I’m at this crossroad these days. Not only when it comes to style but my life in general. I guess it’s my general state of mind that controls what goes on when it comes to style. Sometimes it’s important to just stop and get a good overview of the situation before carrying on and that’s what I’m trying to do today.

A while back I wrote about tool jewelry and since then I had been looking for a small scissor to make a necklace out of. Stupid me didn’t even notice the scissor in the button box after my grandmother until one of you guys mentioned it. So today I’m making it into a necklace. There’s really nothing to it - all you need is something to hang it from. I tried three ways. The first was to tie a pink ribbon with a bow around it. It’s cheap, easy and you tone down the hardness in the scissor a little bit. The second way was to soften the look by hanging it from a pearl necklace. At last I hung it from an ordinary chain. I would have chosen a thicker one If I’ve had it. This works when you want a harder look. You can of course do this with a lot of things - not only scissors.
