DIY: Alice Roi Hip Bag
Filed in: Accessories, DIY, Designers, Fashion, Handbags
This is just an idea so far cause I don’t have what I need to complete the project, but since it’s so easy to do I thought I’d share it anyway. It’s the same idea really as the (not so successful) fanny pack I posted about earlier, only this time it’s inspired by Alice Roi. What you need is a vintage metal frame purse or clutch, a belt and a piece of fabric. If you use a purse with handles these need to come off. The idea to it is to sew a piece of fabric on to the back of the purse that will work as a belt loop. It doesn’t have to be nicely done as it won’t show anyway. All you need to think about is placing it as high up on the purse as possible. Now you can put the purse on the belt and immediately have an almost identical hip bag as seen in Alice Roi’s spring show. As soon as I make my own version I’ll post it too.
