Slips

Filed in: Fashion, Secondhand, Shopping

slips slip yellow purple brown

I continue to buy things in lots and today I ordered three slips from Little Pink Dress. I wear slips as dresses so it may be silly to buy them now when it’s starting to get cold outside, but I fell so for the purple slip, and when I already was ordering one, I threw on a couple of extra. It’s not completely hopeless though cause I have worn them on past cold days with thick tights underneath and a cardigan. It can make a nice contrast. And if that doesn’t work I can always pull over a pencil skirt and play secretary for a day. The slips varied in price from $5 for the brown to $16 for the yellow.

Mix & Match

Filed in: Fashion, Magazines

This months Elle Norway had a fun fashion spread on the topic of mixing different patterns and fabrics. This gives a great lesson on how to mix & match and how to layer, although for most of us copying these looks exactly may be a little over the top. Leopard prints are used as a basis for the looks and is often mixed with plaid. It’s really quite deliberating to be able to throw on all your favorite pieces at once and it also shows that it really doesn’t have to be expensive as may of these garments are from H&M. Here are a few picks for inspiration.

Outfit: Trench

Filed in: Fashion, Outfits

outfit trench leopard coat I tried to create a contrast in today’s outfit between the classy trench and the sexy leopard. I guess if to be perfect the dress would have to be a little shorter to avoid peeking out of the jacket like this, but this is what I had to work with.

If you’re planning on buying a trench I know there will be a great one in the Viktor & Rolf collection for H&M, just check this out.

London #2

Filed in: Designers, Fashion

Still the same story; not blown away by anything so far. I’m starting to feel impatient. Still, lets have a look at some of what’s going on.

Christopher Kane

I like the way strong colors are mixed with innocent laces and frills. These colors are usually too bold for me, but they could work like this.

Basso & Brooke

I think we soon can say for a fact that the 20’s are going to be the next hot decade. Marc Jacobs, Ralph Lauren and now also Basso & Brooke are strongly influenced by this time in history.

Giles Deacon

A very imprisoned look with lots of studs, chains and black leather. A lot of it is taken to the extreme here, but being a rock chick at heart I can find inspiration.

Aquascutum

I loved their fall collection, this time I thought it was a little boring. When I say that the two pictures are my favorites from the whole collection I guess you can imagine.
