DIY: Key Necklace

Filed in: DIY, Jewelry

I didn´t just buy shoes today, I also bought a key. It looks very old because it´s very uneven and almost seem like it was hand made. I have long planned to make a necklace out of a key, but I must admit that I had been searching for something quite different. I wanted one with nice details. When I spotted this though I loved that it was small and chunky at the same time. I decided to make a necklace out of it. It cost me the same as the boots, $3.

So… All you need is a nice key and something to hang it from. It´s much like my scissors necklace. I really need some chains cause I keep finding these things to hang from them. I know you can get them cheap on eBay in lots. Better check it out more closely.

Outfit: Sunday Shoe Shopping

dress outfit boots knitted hat beanie I wore tights, but after trying on sticky shoes, I had to take them off. It´s too cold not to wear tights these days. Without warm tights and sweaters I wouldn´t survive winter; I´m too fond of wearing dresses. The purple boots I bought seems impossible to save, but the rest looks fine.

Shoe Shopping

Filed in: Fashion, Secondhand, Shoes, Shopping

When I cleaned out my old stuff, shoes were what was hardest to get rid of. I felt very proud over the few I did manage to part with. So what do I do… I go to a flea market and buy five new pairs of shoes. They were $3 a pair though, so I couldn´t resist.

It´s not all that good though. The blue patent leather heels fit perfectly and are in perfect shape. The red flats, that I´m not sure what I feel about yet, also fit perfectly and are in good shape. They have gold lining that can be folded down. Somehow they feel a little Michael Jackson to me, and at the same time they remind me of these. Which way do you go? The gold boots are too small. I knew that when I got them, but come on: gold boots! I´m planning to give them away to someone I like with smaller feet. The red suede boots are in perfect shape and are maybe my favorites of the lot. They seem a little snug around the ankles though. The purple boots look great and they are my size. But as what often happens with old boots, the lining has gone bad. I have managed to fix this before, so hopefully they will be wearable again.

Now I just have to call my boyfriend and tell him that the money he had left behind in his drawer are gone…
