Shoe Shopping
Filed in: Fashion, Secondhand, Shoes, Shopping
When I cleaned out my old stuff, shoes were what was hardest to get rid of. I felt very proud over the few I did manage to part with. So what do I do… I go to a flea market and buy five new pairs of shoes. They were $3 a pair though, so I couldn´t resist.

It´s not all that good though. The blue patent leather heels fit perfectly and are in perfect shape. The red flats, that I´m not sure what I feel about yet, also fit perfectly and are in good shape. They have gold lining that can be folded down. Somehow they feel a little Michael Jackson to me, and at the same time they remind me of these. Which way do you go? The gold boots are too small. I knew that when I got them, but come on: gold boots! I´m planning to give them away to someone I like with smaller feet. The red suede boots are in perfect shape and are maybe my favorites of the lot. They seem a little snug around the ankles though. The purple boots look great and they are my size. But as what often happens with old boots, the lining has gone bad. I have managed to fix this before, so hopefully they will be wearable again.
Now I just have to call my boyfriend and tell him that the money he had left behind in his drawer are gone…

Yep, I couldn´t believe it! :) I just got the red boots on my feet even though the shafts are a little snug. Now I know they fit at least. I don´t dare take them off the rest of the day…
The purple boots may be hard to save though… I just have to give it a shot and see. It´s too bad cause they´re in great shape other than the lining.

I am so jealous. The average secondhand shoe in NYC runs at least $12+. Those blue pumps are just so darling.

It´s usually much more expensive here as well, but once in a while I guess the people that sell are either just very nice people or they have no clue what it´s worth. Keep an eye open everywhere you go and I bet you´ll come across something more affordable too. :)

Kjempevarp! :D Jeg digger de røde helt til høyre, men de var fine alle sammen.

Åh, godt å høre at du liker de! Typen min synes også de var de fineste, men jeg følte de var litt sære først. :)

Ed, my theory that you have to get rid of old stuff in your life to make room for new really start to show to be true. :) I´ve had better luck than in a long time when shopping after I cleaned!

E, I´ve already promised them to a friend if they fit her. If they don´t I´ll get back to you. :)

So jealous. $3 bucks a piece is unheard of in Seattle. And all so cute!
