I barely have time to post this as we´re hosting a party and we´re making a ton of food. We´ve been cooking for three days! The flash makes the clothes look a little more see-through than they really are.
Happy New Year everybody!

Thanks to Fashion Files I discovered these Steve Madden boots that look a lot like those from Marc by Marc Jacobs. Not only that, but these are on sale and the price is $39.99 down from $129.95! I am on the lookout for new boots so I might just get these. I´ve always been a little iffy on black suede though, so brown is probably the color for me.

We´ve been preparing food all day for tomorrow, and tomorrow there will be even more. Right now however it´s time to relax a little with a beer.

I have a strange attraction to ugly things. I´ve noticed that it´s often the things I hate at first that I end up loving the most. One thing I´ve always hated is bolo ties. I think they´re hideous. Yesterday evening I came up with the great idea that I would get one and today I clicked one home. I don´t know if this will end up being one of those things I love to death, but at least I don´t have to be afraid of running into someone with the same accessory.

I got two things I´ve won on eBay today. One was the Dior clutch. I still can´t tell for sure whether it´s fake or not, but it looks vintage without being worn too much. It´s in great shape and looks pretty no matter where it comes from. The second was the Whiting and Davis bracelet. It came in a huge box, probably in an attempt to match the ridiculously high shipping rate I had to pay. I asked them to send it cheaper, but they never replied my mails. Even with the big box they paid just 1/3 to send it of what I paid them. Annoying, but at least it made it to me in one piece.

I had to stop by the sales after work today. I had big hopes for Zara, but like every other time I´ve been to that store I walk out empty handed. They never have my size in anything. There´s one store I always go back to during the sales and that is Mango. I never shop there normally, but at the sales I always find something. That´s where I got the red wrap dress and the blue merino wool sweater. Then it was off to H&M where I bought the Viktor & Rolf tuxedo pants. I needed a pair to go with my tuxedo jacket, but the one that belonged to it was really ugly. I also got a pair of flat boots because I figured they´re useful. They were 50% off and quite nice, but there´s something about flats that just seem to look so strange on me. The last thing I got was a bow tie from H&M´s men´s department. Now I´m exhausted and I´m going to relax a bit before I decide what to keep and not to keep.

This is old news, but I thought I´d mention it for those of you who haven´t seen it; Style Bytes is mentioned in Paris Vogue. Yay!

Well, not exactly, but rhinestones and plastic gems were scattered all around the runway. You can easily freshen up you old rags if you buy some rhinestones that can be sewn onto fabric.

Burberry Prorsum, Marc Jacobs, Chloé, Viktor & Rolf twice and Marc Jacobs again.

In quiet moments this Christmas I ended up spending some time browsing through eBay. One of the things I had planned to buy ever since I saw this picture of Mary-Kate Olsen was a black hoody, which I got from Tuffy McPuggles along with a bunch of other items. The picture also lead me to make a search for “Frankie says relax” t-shirts and suddenly I had bought one of those as well from RearWearClothing. I know nothing of the quality yet, but they claim to have good quality t-shirts and their feedback score is 100%. The t-shirt is £9.99 and you can choose from a bunch of different colors, sizes and types of shirts. I choose to look at it as one of those garments that you wear with a pinch of irony.

As an attempt to pack light, I´m wearing the same accessories as yesterday with a new dress and the addition of a bracelet I got as a gift yesterday. I got many great presents and ate a lot of good food.

Usually I would have chosen a little more color for Christmas, but I went for red shoes instead.

I don´t exercise. I have for a few months at a time managed to do yoga every day, but it never lasts. I rely on walking as much as I can instead. This may change as I just clicked into Tuffy McPuggles to look at some American Apparel stuff that I want and I ended up looking through the rest of it. All the great gym clothes gave me a sudden urge of exercising. I guess it can be a good new years resolution after all the greasy food I´ll eat during Christmas, not to mention a good excuse for me to buy this stuff.

As I started packing and laying out clothes on the bed I realised that I packed in a color theme. I guess my Christmas of 2006 is gray, red, white and black. I can´t wait for a few days off now as stressful as this last time has been. Most of all I look forward to a good nights sleep. Most of the preparations are done so that I can sleep as long as possible.
