The White Shirt

If you didn´t get a white shirt last summer you should consider getting one now. According to Style.com the white shirt will be at least as important next summer as it was. Even though it´s a very basic garment, I find it incredibly difficult to find the perfect shirt. Either the fit is wrong, the cut is wrong or it doesn´t have the right details.

Ive been wanting to try this for a while too now, but now it got too cold to just wear a white shirt. And usually they fit just totally wrong.

I don´t get why it´s so hard to find the right fit since it´s something all shops have. I still haven´t found the perfect one…

The entire white shirt thing… I think it’s impossible to look fashionable in it. I always feel like a waitress on the job wearing one.

I know what you mean, but now that it´s winter, how about a vest or a sweater on top? It may make it look a little less waitressy. Or if you wear it to jeans…

hello! i’ve been wanting one too for a long time, and in august i found the perfect one at benetton. it’s a very basic, classical design. only details are actually the buttoning and the seams that accentuate your body. i got plenty of compliments for it! it was only 28€ (in berlin) and i am thinking about getting it in black as well. seriously, it has the perfect fit!

Your post was the last straw. I ran out and got one last evening from the only place I know with shirts that FIT. And there’s a reason why.

If you must look at the price, at least get your feet wet and go to the sale or clearance section first though. I got the white tuxedo shirt that’s on clearance.
