Over the Knee Boots
Filed in: Celebs, Fashion, Magazines, Shoes
I almost put in a bid for a pair of vintage boots like these on eBay a few days ago, but in the last minute I changed my mind thinking that I would have too few occations to wear them compared to how much space they would take in my wardrobe. A couple of days later Elle falls into my mailbox giving me tons of ideas for how to wear them.

Too bad, I see that it’s compared with high waisted shorts and you orderd those at H&M right?

They remind me of Julia Roberts on Pretty Woman…she’s a hooker, but she rocks them. I think they look nice and warm!

you’d have to have a lot of sass… but it’s nice to have a pair of boots that cover banana seat bicycle scars…

looks a little iffy

I usually don’t lik OTK boots because they tend to be over the knee in front but are open at the back. I suppose this is done for comfort, but it makes the boots look bad in my opinion.

Marina, sure!
Amie, yeah, I wouldn´t dare to myself, but it looks cool on pictures.
Ann, true. I haven´t seen anyone wear these in Oslo so I´ve never seen them in real life.

I like this kind of boots but I think that it’s very difficult to wear it!
Would you make a link exchange with me?
I already have had your blog in my blog!
Thank you

They don’t seem that difficult to wear as long as you have the right attitude to go along with it! I agree with Amie though…I’m not so sure how I feel about them with short shorts.

Speaking of boots I have a question for you. Which are more versatile & fashionable: round, pointy or square toes?
January 26th, 2007 at 5:44 pm
I´d say round toes without a doubt, but that´s only me. When it comes to pumps I´d say more pointy, but not too ponty. Whatever is the most classic is what I tend to go for…

i saw a pair of OTK boots too which i would love to buy but am just scared of looking like a woman of the night! :/

I think the key to something like OTK boots is to be careful not to overplay the inherrent sexyness…someone brought up Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman as an example. I mean, the woman was a prostitute and that’s the last thing any woman wants to be mistaken for, walking down the street. I think Nicole Richie had the best idea by pairing them with not-so-sexy, more romantic pieces.

agree with sarah - unsexify them, and get flat OTK boots. that’s what i have
