Knitting

Mom has these great knitting magazines from the 50´s and up. She´s knitting me a swimsuit/bikini, but I have a hard time choosing. I am probably going for the bottom left, but please help me pick a color!

Red or baby yellow would look good with your skin tone. Baby yellow was a pretty popular color for bikini\’s back then. I\’ve always wanted a vintage bikini, but I\’m not so hot about wearing a used one from 50 years ago ;-) You have a swell mom if she\’s knitting you one!

Haha Suzy, that´s so funny, cause the two colors I have concidered so far are red and yellow!
Hannah, white´s good and works for this as a knitted bikini won´t work well in water anyway. I´ll only be sun bathing in it. :)

For the bikini colour, I’d say red too. Haha, those pictures are quite funky. :D Love the caps.

Love this post, as I’ve decided that learning to knit is at the top of my to-do list. So much so that I’m going back to my home town tomorrow to get lessons from my Mum and Grandmother & raid their wool/patterns!
Love the idea of a knitted bikini, though I think I’ll be starting out with scarves!

Hmmm - hva er sjansen for å kunne få tilsendt en kopi av den strikkeoppskriften på e-post? Det virker som et perfekt strikkeprosjekt til våren, og en stor forandring fra luer og sjal som det går i for tiden.
Pretty Please med sukker på?
PS. Jeg ville ellers gått for mosegrønn som også er en fin-fin retrofarge!

Knitted bikini’s are fun! Unfortunate you can’t go in the water with them, unless you want everything to drop and show off you naked body to everyone.
