Shopping
Filed in: Beauty, Home Decor
I´m marrying a man who loves shopping at least as much as I do and I am starting to fear the size of our future wardrobes and the need of a much bigger apartment to store everything in. Today, at the flea market, he spotted this dresser that he wanted me to buy. I was like “it´s nice, but I can´t really afford it, and we don´t really have anywhere to put it”. But as you can see, he managed to talk me into it. These mirrored dressers are so pretty and while they´re not really that practical, they give a little of that movie star feeling. I´ve always wanted one, and it´s kind of ironic that I needed a guy to make me buy one. It didn´t stop there though. I also saw a dress I kind of liked. I tried it on, but there were no mirrors, so I wasn´t sure if I wanted to buy it without seeing it first. Once again he managed to talk me into buying something by saying “trust me, you look great in it, you have to buy it”. It works both ways though, he´s just as easy to talk into spending money as I am. I guess we have to concider opening a shop in the future.

I love how you already have a bra hanging on it.
My boyfriend never comes shopping with me, instead of honest opinions I get eye rolling telling me to move on.

wow. this dresser is amazing!!!
My boyfriend is also a real furniture, design, antiques shopper. So we have lots of cool stuff around. I’m really happy that he is that way since I often simply don’t see the good thing in something old imidiately like he does…

Eli, hehe, the bra was one of the first things that ended up there. ;)
F&Art, I tend to walk right past great things, especially furniture, cause I´m usually looking for clothes!

I love it. I got a vanity like that when I turned 13, but this one is much cooler.

Holy Crap! This is such a surreal feeling. I’ve been reading your blog for a year now and I check in every single day and I didn’t realize how important it was to me until I read your engagement announcement. I feel like one of my close friends just got engaged, which is completely weird since I certainly have never met you and you live half a world away. This appears to be the beauty in blogging. Congratulations and I am so excited for you!

I feel the same as Carlene. And like Brandie said, “Wow! What a great find!” I would say it, too. But in this case I don’t mean only the dresser, I mean your bf, too ;) :P

my fiance and i are like that too; we always convince one another to buy things we know we shouldn’t buy. i joked that when we move in together, we should get an extra room for our clothes.

Is the bra hanging on the dresser a consequence of the purchase? If yes then you have your reason why your man is so quick to encourage you to purchase goods. Happy Shopping….

Glamourbibliotekaren, takk takk! Det kostet 650,- noe som ikke er så verst, men hvis du holder utkikk på Maritabutikken i Markveien har jeg sett de der for enda mindre. :)
Amee, haha, I´ve been saying that too!
Cubalaya Shopper, haha, maybe you´re right!
