I went to mom´s today to try on the wedding dress which she´s making. More on that later though as I don´t want to reveal too much yet. She lives about an hour outside of Oslo and there is a huge thrift store there that I always stop by. I guess since there are less people fighting over the good stuff, it´s easier to make some real bargains.
The first dress here is my favorite. It´s too bad you can´t really catch how it moves on still photos, cause it´s super light and totally diva like.
This two piece suit is probably the most crazy clothing I´ve ever seen. The shoulders are gigantic! Sadly it turned out very different on the pictures than how I see it in the mirror. I guess part of the reason is that you can´t see the fabric well enough and the proportions go missing when the pictures are cut like this. I would probably not wear the jacket and the skirt together, that would be too much of a costume, but I am convinced, that with the shoulder pad trend seen on the runway, the jacket will be great with jeans and heels. I´m more iffy on the skirt, which you can´t see too well here. It works better with the jacket than by itself. It has a strange shape though and I bet I can find some way to wear it.
At last is a polka dot dress, a pair of patent leather t-straps and a hot pink belt.
I am so happy!
