I originally thought of sporting this look when I saw Gummo. As far as I can remember, Chloe Sevigny did the costume design for that movie, and those of you who have seen it knows how trashy some of the looks are. There were still a few details here and there that I got inspired by. I pretty much forgot about the whole single earring idea until I read the latest issue of i-D where it´s used in two of the fashion shoots. The earring is the same in both, but one of the shoots is with a guy and one is with a girl. I suggested a while ago that my fiance should get his ear pierced, but he didn´t want to until he saw these pictures today.

During our boat trip in Northern Norway I found a jaw of an otter and I picked out this tooth and kept it cause I intended to make a necklace out of it. It took some time to actually get it done, cause I needed some really small drill bits. At the market this adorable old Russian lady had just what I needed. She was so sweet and told us that she remembered me and my fiance from a couple of months ago when we bought two porcelain figurines from her. Anyway, I finally got around to drill a hole in the tooth so that I could hang it from a chain, and I´m quite pleased with the result. It feels extra special since I found the tooth myself.

All the pictures we got of my new dress today got equally goofy, so I´m just as well posting three of them. It´s actually a skirt that I bought to wear as a skirt, but when I put it on I immediately saw other possibilities. The lady who sold it to me only wanted $7 as she was on her way home. She told me that she had a ton of great clothes at home, but had made the mistake to bring too few to the flea market. She promised to bring more of it next Sunday.

I´ve said it before, but I´ll say it again; this is the most versatile dress I own. Forget about the little black dress, this white floral one is something I could wear for any occasion I can think of.
