DIY Studded Shoes

Filed in: DIY, Fashion, Jewelry, Shoes

First I was planning on making something like the studded scarf from Luella. After having bought the studs I discovered that it wasn´t all that easy to have them sit on thin fabric and I quickly gave up. Then I planned on making a studded purse after getting the idea from a girlfriend of mine. I went to several thrift shops looking for the perfect bag to use, but came out empty handed. I had already been searching through eBay for studded shoes, and I thought to myself maybe that was what I should make.

I haden´t dared embark on this project hadn´t it been for the fact that the eBay seller I bought the Pleaser heels from accidentally sent me two pairs, meaning I had one pair I could experiment freely on. So far I´ve placed three studs on each shoe, and I am still debating with myself whether I should add more. I placed them along the top of the shoe as it was the easiest as well as it looked the best when wearing the shoe.

The whole process was really simple. I placed the stud where I wanted it to sit and pressed it down to make a mark. Then I used something sharp to make holes at the marks and then just pushed the studs right trough. Easy peasy.

And while we are on the subject of studs; I got these earrings at H&M yesterday…

But don´t worry, I won´t be wearing it all at the same time!

Cape

Filed in: Designers, Fashion

I love this cape as seen in the July issue of Modette. It´s designed by Vanessa da Silva, and while the price tag is a bit stiff for me, I can´t help but think that something similar must be pretty easy to put together yourself. A big piece of fabric, rounded at the edges and a hole for the head. I also love the way pink nail polish is used in this image combined with more of a 70´s feel with the brown boots and all.

Sushi

Filed in: Fashion, Outfits

I went out for sushi and couldn´t help dressing up just a tad even though I´m playing with the idea of wearing more casual outfits. I have never worn as much dresses and heels as I have this summer, and at the same time it has never rained as much either. The danger of wearing dresses all the time is that you soon feel sloppy in jeans. And the danger of wearing high heels all the time is that heels of the height I´m wearing today suddenly feel like flats.
