I might just as well move into these shoes. When I got them I wasn´t sure whether I´d really wear them, but got them since they were cheap and kept the receipt in case I´d return them. I have worn them every day since then.
I´m spending the evening eating risotto and drinking Champagne while working on DIY projects. I am setting the table with beads, glue, feathers, fabric and everything else I can find. Hopefully something nice will come out of it.

Halloween is soon here and even though it´s not a big tradition in Norway to get all dressed up (although times are changing) it´s time for many of you to start looking for costumes. I am not really familiar with online shops that offers these things so I have nothing to compare Halloween Express with, but they do have a lot to chose from. You can find costumes for adults, couples and children. These costumes include everything from classic horror movie characters to food and beverages, you can find anything, there´s even a category called “leg ave for women”. It´s cheap as well, most costumes are between $30 and $40. Whether the quality holds up or not is impossible for me to tell from just the pictures, but then again you´re most likely just wearing it for the day so it doesn´t really matter all that much anyway. I bet though, with a little creativity, you can come up with something original and pretty/funny/cute on your own. Halloween is a great chance to test out the more extravagant looks on the runway, those you don´t dare to wear unless hiding behind a good excuse. If you however don´t have the time, creativity or whatever, I bet you can find something of interest in this shop. That is of course unless you want something very extraordinary, cause in the end, it is mostly what you´d expect to see at Halloween that you´ll find. That doesn´t have to be a bad thing though.

Ok, this was freezing, but I did it for you! I feel like I never get to take photos of my evening outfits anymore cause it´s already dark by that time, and as you know, flash really doesn´t do me any good. We´re having pasta with smoked salmon this evening. I got a comment that I wrote so much about my drinking, but I do think I write just as much about what I eat.

It´s pouring today which means no flea markets. I did go shopping anyway but it was freezing so I got home to warm up on some tequila shots instead. I feel I am starting to get a little repetitive on my outfits but I´ll blame it on the weather for now.

Dolce & Gabbana
Love the way brocade is used as it´s something we usually see in the fall collections. I also love the more casual looks.

Emilio Pucci
This Pucci collection actually felt a little different than what they normally do. Lots of feathers here too, supporting my theory of yesterday.

Fendi
Lots of drama, dramatic shapes and dramatic prints. Most of it didn´t really hit home with me though.

Versace
I love the retro glam.

I found this cute basket at a secondhand shop for $5 on my way home from work. I decided it was a good opportunity to invite my husband on a little date in the park. He ended up doing all the work - baking the cake, preparing the hot chocolate - while I spent my precious time getting dressed. I think we both agreed that it was a great date anyway!

In today´s issue of Aftenposten, one of the biggest newspapers in Norway, there´s a big article about Style Bytes and Oslostil.

Sadly they misspelled the web address in the header (something that often seems to happen) but I am otherwise very pleased with the result.

Inspired by Sportsmax´s exessive use of feathers in their fall collection, I went and got a big bunch of feathers of my own intended for DIY projects.

Feathers are not at all absent from the spring collections either, like in yesterday´s Maurizio Pecoraro show. Actually, feathers seem to be a big thing at the moment, and while I´ve ignored it up until now, I´m am suddenly starting to turn.

I am not entirely sure exactly what I am going to make yet, but at least some sort of collar/necklace. The joy about these DIY projects isn´t really what the result ends up like, but the pleasure of creating something of my own.

A little shopping after work that resulted in a pair of boots and two cardigans also resulted in loss of lighting for outdoor photos. Can you see how upset I am? You can´t even tell that my tights are blue and that my scarf is brown! In reality I am smiling big time cause the new items were of the kind that had me see my whole wardrobe from a new perspective. I love it when that happens.

I had planned to wear these boots with dresses, but since there probably are few days left where short shorts are an option, I went for them instead.

I went to a thrift shop I stop by once in a while today. It turned out they were closing and that it was their last day and that the closing sale had been going on for weeks. I did not at all expect to find anything at this point as the shop was nearly empty and had only an hour left before they closed for good. I still had a look as they offered free coffee and cake. I was digging through a box of scarves when I saw something interesting, what seemed to be a Hermès scarf.

I am terrible at spotting fake scarves, unless it´s completely obvious of course, so my husband did some investigation on the logo, the stitching and so on, and so far everything seems right. I also went through a list here, and it meets all the requirements there too. This eBay seller has one for sale that is identical to mine. It´s a power seller with good feedback so at least the design seems to exist, and apparently dates back to 1963 according to another source. I am still not sure of the authenticity though. Fake or not, I thought it was funny that it was the one thing no one had shown any interest for. I mean, I got it for about a dollar, that´s not a bad price even if it turns out to be fake.
Maybe anyone of you have any idea of how I can tell for sure whether it´s authentic or not?
