White Wine

Filed in: Fashion, Outfits

I´ve worn this dress a million times before. Ok, maybe just ten, but ten times is a lot for me to wear a dress considering the amount of dresses I have. Still, I can´t help myself, as I love it so much.

Over the Knee Boots

Filed in: Shoes, Shopping

I´ve expressed my love for over the knee boots before, where the below collage is from. Even though they might not be that big a thing anymore, it´s one of those things I´ve wanted for years, and that I knew I had to get my hands on sometime. They´re the most dramatic boots I can imagine. I saw a girl wearing a black pair a few weeks ago. The outfit was super simple, but the boots made it a head turner. I´ve looked for these kind of boots secondhand, but they are often flats something that just don´t work for me. Flat boots always make me feel like I have the most enormous feet. I wanted them to have heels, but not too high, or else they´d immediately have a more slutty look to them that would have to be played down.

I gave up finding them secondhand, but as so often, eBay became the solution and I got the dark grey Kurt Geiger boots below. It was kind of scary to leave that much money behind online, cause even though they were cheap, leather boots cost a bit. And when you don´t get to try them on, it can easily end up being a big mistake. I knew I had good shoe carma today though as I had delivered three pairs of shoes to to the local shoe repairman that I picked up just before picking up the OTK boots. Fixing old shoes, or getting rid of shoes you don´t wear, is the best way to get new great shoes in your life. Believe me.

I can´t wait for the leather to soften up a bit and they´ll be even better.

New York #2

Filed in: Designers, Fashion

It´s the second round and I am already starting to see a lot of details that keep coming up. More on this later, but first today´s favorites. I seem to ignore the shows that are all white, have bad lighting or disturbing things around the models. I want to se the clothes the way below.

Badgley Mischka

It may not be the two most original looks, but beige and yellow patterned fabrics seem to go through many shows. I like the simplicity of these.

Jason Wu

I hope you´re not tired of yellow just yet. It has been one of the biggest colors for seasons, but I just seem to see more of it in the spring collections. Big blocks of color and bright with neutral.

Karen Walker

Karen Walker always seem to end up on my top ten list. I love this collection and I will not be surprised if the same thing happens this year. I love the soft pallette together with the navy blue, I love the hats and the mix of solids and patterns, and of course the quirky shades to go with it all.
