H&M

In the spring issue of H&M Magazine…

…and now the fall issue.

The way they write off fashion bloggers annoys me a little.

First of all because so many fashion bloggers out there front H&M without getting anything in return. As a fashion blogger I do get some perks, occasional free stuff or discounts I wouldn´t have gotten otherwise, but never anything from H&M which is probably the brand I write the most about. I´ve even been in contact with an H&M designer giving them my tips of what I´d like to see in stores as a H&M shopper without being offered anything. I don´t expect to get things for free, I write about what I like anyway, it´s more of an observation. With all the coverage H&M get from bloggers I bet they owe a good percentage of their sales to them and should be careful about what they say about them.

Secondly, blogging is a way anybody can express themselves. Having to have the right background or the right photographic skills to blog would ruin what blogging is all about. What I like about blogs is that I can get inspiration from all kinds of people from all around the world. If I wanted to see polished pictures of perfect models I´d go buy Vogue. Blogs are an alternative to glossy magazines.

Now I doubt this is written by a high profile journalist or that H&M Magazine really weighs much in the industry, but it is handed out in every H&M store around the world and it is saying something negative about someone they probably should try to take better care of.

This bow tie is among those things that I´m thrilled about finding, but almost never end up wearing.

Oh, and turns out that Style Bytes mentioned in Dagbladet (one of the biggest news papers in Norway) among a few recommended fashion blogs.

Shopping

At the regular flea market shopping today I came across a woman who sold scarves for $3 each along with Kangol berets for the same price. I got two scarves…

…and a navy beret. I also got a clutch that she only wanted $2 for. What a steal!

I always find it difficult to find nice tights. Many of you have asked me about the tights I wear, but the truth is most of them aren´t really that nice. Sometimes I wear two on top of each other just cause it´s so hard finding completely opaque onces. Both black and gray tights are something I wear a lot, so I got these two two packs at H&M today with two different tighs in each package. They look both nice and warm now and as long as they don´t pill, I´ll be satisfied.

At last I got two wool scarves on sale, and two wool sweaters on Gina Tricot. Basics are the most boring things to buy so when I came across these affordable sweaters I just had to go for it. Gray and navy seem to be my favorite colors these days.

New York #3

It´s hard to pick favorites right now, not because there´s too much to choose from, but because there isn´t all that much that catches my eye. Maybe I´m just being difficult… I´m still waiting for that collection where I want to pick every single picture.

Proenza Shouler

For some reason, patterns mixed with solid garments feels fresh to me. Maybe because there´s been so much mix and match of patterns and because I wear mostly solids.

Sari Gueron

Layers of oversized clothing is something I rarely dare to wear myself, but with light garments like these, that move nicely together, it could work even for me.

Vera Wang

Asymmetrical seems to be a big keyword for spring, also in this collection. I like the mix of different kinds of fabrics.

Zero Maria Conejo

Another example of layered oversized clothing. I love the shoes for some odd reason cause they´re actually quite ugly. I also love the colors.

I chose a very simple outfit for shopping today, all black, and the only colors are the red lips and the red bag. Oslostil did a picture of me and my husband, and when it´s up you can see the entire outfit with jacket and scarf.
