The Burberry Trench
Filed in: Fashion, Secondhand, Shopping
I love it the most when people sell their own clothes at flea markets. You get a feel of the person who owned the clothes before you and you even might get a good story along with it. This woman was in her seventies and had probably been quite the diva in her youth. The Burberry trench had been a favorite of her´s and as I mentioned before, she only wanted $30 for it which is quite a steal. I already have a classic trench from H&M so it suited me well that this one had a slightly more original color and cut, even though I´d happily throw out my H&M trench for a Burberry one. Sadly, the other clothes she sold, among them a Bill Blass dress, was a tad big for me. “What a luxury problem” she said, but I am not so sure she is necessarily right.
The coat has a lot of buttons that I don´t know where are supposed to go and you can wear it in several different ways. I have to experiment a little to figure it all out. For all I know some parts may be missing. I ironed it yesterday but I see today that I didn´t do a very good job, so it has to be ironed again.
