Long Dresses
Filed in: Designers, Fashion, Trend Alerts
While I´m not sure whether I´m getting one of those one shoulder dresses (unless I found some great 80´s dress of the sort secondhand) I do know something else I want. I´ve been collection pictures of all the long light floral dresses popping up on the runway. I usually feel a little uncomfortable in long dresses and skirts, but if it´s something more in the line of these I think it can work even for me. It doesn´t have to be floral though, not all of these are, but at least with some sort of print. And so the search for the perfect dress begins… Sometimes you just know it will take forever so it´s a good idea to start looking as soon as possible.

D&G, Michael Kors, Nicole Miller and Etro.

Blumarine, Just Cavalli, Christian Lacroix and Sue Stemp.

I love the colors on the Just Cavalli dress.
Short dresses are more of my style though.
By the way, I love your blog! Your style inspires me =]

Why no one-shoulder dress? I think they’re so beautiful and flattering!

Thank you so much Cheri Lee!
We´ll see Wendy, I have to cut back somewhere, but I do like them too. ;)

I’ve also been looking at long hippie happy print dresses. Suggested addition: Dries Van Noten’s Spring 2008.

I wonder how long maxi dresses will stay trendy for.

@ Jen, considering I have some vintage maxi dresses that are about 35 years old…how about 35 years? :-) I’ve been wearing a couple of them for about five years. Don’t buy it because it’s in style now, buy it because you think it’s gorgeous. If it’s really beautiful on you, then who cares what the trend is!

Always as much of perspicacity in the choice of your remarks!!!!! By the same occasion, I allow myself to do a little pub for our blog on the last fashion week. It’s composed of videos turned daily to the entry and the exit of the principal shows. Don’t hesitate to leave your judicious comments!!!

I’ve been thinking about getting a maxi dress but I’m only 5′3″ and think it might make me look even shorter–though the Olsen Twins seem to pull it off well.
I keep eyeing this one.. and it’s only $48…
