Just as I am sitting here I get a semi spammish comment about a shop called House of Sunglasses, and I notice that they also have non-prescription glasses (look around, not all are under clear glasses). All of these, glasses as well as shades, are $9.99 and they ship internationally for quite low rates. I won´t vouch for the quality but I thought I´d let you know, especially with all potential geeks in mind.

It´s such an odd thing, but I can´t help but loving the yellow socks that came with half the outfits in the Wunderkind collection. It´s one of my spring must haves and I´ve even scored my first pair secondhand (brand new but from the 80s). Now I am on the lookout for more!

When I think of winter I think of bundling into layers of beautiful clothes, drinking hot chocolate in front of the fireplace and taking a moonlight stroll in the evening. It´s all very romantic and also very comfortable. Something more in the line of these images in Costume.

It was when seeing these I first came to realize how my idea of winter have been so wrong all these years. I just never seem to learn. But each year it´s the same - it get´s too cold to ever be comfortable in anything. Right now it´s freezing outside, and with a parka, beanie, mittens, wool socks, a chunky cardigan over two layers of sweaters, it´s hard to keep that effortlessly stylish look. Next year will probably be just the same, I´ll imagine I can dress like that all winter, and when the temperature drops below zero, I´ll be just as shocked about how cold it is.
