Boots
Filed in: Fashion, Shoes, Shopping
So I got these today. I´ve been drooling over them for ages but the price tag was just a little stiff. Even on sale they weren´t exactly cheap, then again leather boots never are. I needed new black boots and these were the perfect mix between cowboy/harness boots and simple/versatile boots. The straps come off and the low heels make them perfect even on days I walk a lot. They´re from Janet&Janet.
And I am almost embarrassed to say that I also got the Sam Edelman/Victoria´s Secret boots. They were on sale and were 1/4 of the price of the boots above, and the most brutal boots I´ve ever seen. Sadly the sizing is a little odd and the toe is really long. They don´t feel big on the foot so I am debating with myself whether to exchange them, something that will cost me almost as much as the shoes themselves. The brutalness of the shoes hides the fact that they are long, unless you look for it. And since they´re so narrow I´m afraid they´ll be too small if I exchange them…

I’ve got almost the same Janet&Janet boots, except that are mine simpler. The form and color is exactley the same, but mine don’t have a strap and don’t have the “border decorations” (or however you call that in english ;) ). they’re perfect and really comfortable but yeah expensive

Thanks!
Anne, were you thinking of the Janet&Janet boots? They were $500 full price, I got them 30% off.
Liv, I´ve never had Janet&Janet shoes so I hope they will las a while! :)
Kaja, tja… :P

I´d rather save for bathroom than buy so expensive boots, but if it makes you happier:)
I can´t imagine how the 2nd look booted,I am looking forward to see them on you.

Franny, it´s not just about boots, it´s about being able to enjoy a bottle of wine and avoid arguing and worrying about money. ;)

Ohh love them! Both paires, but the bottom ones look just like the Balenciaga ones that are just amazing!! http://img46.imageshack.us/img46/2812/sameldemanbootieswd3.jpg
I think it´s smart to wait to do the bathroom, a newly wed couple dont need to always be preoccupied about money. Lucky you!!

Hey =). Those booties (both) are lovely. The second pair is kind of different of what we’ve seen before, but i still like it, kinda reminds me of some Burberry collection; i can definitely picture you rocking them.
Oh. I read about you wanting a new haircut, and i got reaaaaaaaaaaally excited :) can’t wait to see a picture of what you’ve chosen. I actually can recommend you one website that can give you MANY ideas for your new look, it’s http://community.livejournal.com/madradhair/
You should visit it, it’s very inspiring, even if some of the haircuts shown on it are pretty crazy, they’re some which look more mature and fun at the same time. Even I got some inspiration for my current haircut from it, I got long bangs and a haircut that kinda looks like a bob but a little longer (still over my shoulders).
Hope I helped =).
take care!

I wonder if the second pair are at all comfortable/easy to walk in? I wear heels all the time, but those look difficult to walk in…I LOVE them though and am so tempted to buy them too!

I umed and ahed over those Victoria Secret boots for so long but in the end went for slightly more practical Carvela boots instead.

Both are great!

Always feed your fashion hunger!
I did the same thing today. Except my faux leather jacket and heels weren’t that expensive.
I say go and try the other ones one before you exchange.

Wow! The first pair is lovely but the second pair is intense. Can’t wait to see them in an outfit(if you keep them.) Are they hard to walk in?
January 9th, 2008 at 3:17 am
when you say the second boots are brutal, do you mean how they look or how they feel on?
cuz they look hot! but i’m afraid i might not be able to walk to the end of the block in them (and i’m a high heel girl)…
what do you think?
January 9th, 2008 at 3:38 am
Those Sam Edelman boots look pretty enticing, but they seem to be extremely uncomfortable
January 9th, 2008 at 3:42 am
that’s alot of money.
January 9th, 2008 at 6:13 am
i’ve just thrifted a pair of black boots & ive been wearing them non-stop. they may not be brand new but they have that worn-in look that designers make people pay hundreds to achieve:)
January 9th, 2008 at 10:39 am
i love those victoria secret boots, but if you say they are not too big, and as long as you can walk comfortably in them withouht stumbling, then maybe you should just stick to this size?
January 9th, 2008 at 11:58 am
errrm.. I thought you were broke????

Love the cowboy boots. I’m kicking myself for not buying some secondhand ones a I saw a few months back.
Jenny, try Blogger.

Hi Agatha! Which size did you order the Victoria`s Secret shoes? I saw an other pair I really like an I´m not sure about the size. Do you know what size the European 39 is at Victoria`s Secret?
Perhaps you can give me a short answer!
Thanks, Charlotte

January 9th, 2008 at 8:22 pm
I’d love to see how those V.S. shoes look on. They look great so I hope they fit well.
January 9th, 2008 at 8:35 pm
i can’t wait to see them paired!
*your style is superlicious. luv it :D
January 9th, 2008 at 8:59 pm
I actually really like the second pair. I saw them somewhere…on a model and they did look brutal!
January 9th, 2008 at 10:02 pm
just as franny, i’d rather save for a new bathroom than buy expensive boots. i like the first pair though.
January 9th, 2008 at 10:17 pm
January 9th, 2008 at 11:06 pm
I love the first pair! That’s what I’ve been looking for. I wish I can find one here that I can afford…
January 9th, 2008 at 11:20 pm
Love that second pair, can’t wait to what you put them together with!
January 10th, 2008 at 5:42 pm
the second pair is very interesting, i wonder if comfortable?
January 10th, 2008 at 9:40 pm
The second pair looks amazing!
January 10th, 2008 at 10:13 pm
Now I´ve updated with a photo of the second pair worn. After thinking it through, I am quite happy with them even though they are a tad big. I´m hoping my height will cover it up. :P
January 10th, 2008 at 10:16 pm
Hi !!
I love them both and I am so curious to hear about how the walking goes. Of course you have heard the fuss Mary Kate Olsen causes in her Balenciago ones? Tell us how it goes ok?
January 10th, 2008 at 10:50 pm
Aha, Takk… Kansje jeg skal slå til. Fine er de hvertfall!
That’s fashion!
January 10th, 2008 at 11:35 pm
Oh, and in comparison a bathroom will cost $22000, a tad more than a pair of shoes. ;)
January 11th, 2008 at 12:13 am
About the VS boots; can you please be superkind and answer one question? Would you reccomend me to go down half a size from ny regular? I´m a normaly a 38..TKS!
January 12th, 2008 at 8:33 pm
Neither pair is really my style but I like the top pair. But….the bottom pair is imteresting, I am not sure if its an interesting good or bad yet
January 16th, 2008 at 4:06 pm
i love both pairs, but it is a bit painful to me how much the top ones cost! the same amount of money you paid for is what i currently live on for a whole month. :(
my favourite pair of black boots ever were bought brand new for £1.50 at a car boot sale, haha. :)
i LOVE the bottom pair but how are they to walk in? i’m a high heel girl but i’ve never had a 5 inch tall pair before. i’m a student and living on very little money at the moment but still debating whether i can possibly scrimp for these over the next month or so!
