Beaded Earrings
There’s a whole world out there with stuff I either didn’t know about or didn´t considered as an option. Usually I find these things at flea markets and thrift shops, but during winter the selection is much poorer and the Internet becomes the source of all things new. Beaded earrings is an American thing, maybe Native American, and I haven’t seen them over here as far as I can remember. It all started over at Bona Drag where they have this amazing pair.
They were souring in the back of my mind until a wolf pair popped up while browsing through eBay. Suddenly I discovered that people actually make a living out of making these things. And so my hunt began. They would have to be big and a little trashy looking and I’ve fallen in love with the animals in the form of wolfs and eagles, the more ethnic inspired and the colorful and fun parrot earrings. I came across this shop on eBay where you can have them especially altered for your need. I think I am going for both the Bona Drag pair and the wolves.

Hey Agathe!
this is not bead-jewellery related but it is jewellery-with-a-difference and i wanted to share it with you because you always share such cool things with us!
i found this jewellery designer, poet and visual artist through Jennine at The Coveted. She is Mana Bernardes from Rio de Janeiro and she is on this website http://www.do-not-touch.com {sorry, i don’t yet know how to create a link! sad i know:)
anyway, take a look….i love the lucite necklace but my favourite is the bobby pin one! so innovative! i may even give it a go myself—she has really inspired me as i often (but lately not often enough) go into deeeeeep creative modes like this and come up with the coolest creations!
by the way, your blog is the yummy food my creative soul requires each day, so keep writing, inspiring and photographing!

Boy, this brings me back to Pow Wow days. My favorite was always the Peyote Stitch where you could create long streams down each ear. I also second what Liesl aka lulubrownskin wrote above, that necklace on The Coveted is to die for. I’m going to link this post along with some others at my blog shortly.

I´m from Mexico, this kind of crafts are very cheap here. I own a lot of them.
In my school, a hippie group sell them.
I have a beautiful necklace and a silver bracelet with a big flower beaded. It´s my favorite.
