The Mess

Filed in: Fashion

Since we´re redecorating the bedroom and have moved into the livingroom, we´re surrounded by shoes, clothes and accessories. I have spent the weekend trying to organize things to make this situation bearable. We´re sleeping in the dining room and the dining table has been turned into a space to keep my jewelry. I am still not sure how I´m going organize all of this later on. This table seats 6 people, I can´t use that much space in our bedroom just for jewelry. I spent hours yesterday and today tangling everything apart from eachother.

Next to our bed is the bar cabinet which now houses shoes and feather boas next to my liquor bottles.

Two of the windows are filled with bags. I didn´t know I had this many.

The least attractive thing is the rows of clothes next to the sofa.

And the shoes, they´re a little all over the place…

The dresses are next to our bed and wherever there´s room.

It will be much more fun to show you how I end up organizing all of this cause this situation is unbearable at the moment.

  7. Claudia Says:

oh,agathe…with your “cleaning thing” you remind me about my “oh,my god, what a mess-i should tidy up a little” mission…and with your “mess thing” you remind me about my closet…(anyway…i have planed to arrange it after my exams)

  8. Katarina Says:

  10. Renée S. / FashionFillers Says:

I really think this is one of the most inspiring posts you ever wrote! This definitely sounds stupid, cause of all the mess, but I think it’s be-CAUSE of the mess.

  11. Lana Says:

Haha, messy! But just about how it will look in your new fresh bedroom ;).

  12. laura Says:

i think it looks funny - you seem to have so many things…

  13. WendyB Says:

You should always leave those pink heels out. They’re very decorative. And that’s no mess. I could show you a real mess! But I won’t! Too embarrassing.

  14. susie_bubble Says:

I think it’s a beautiful sort of chaos though!

  15. Evelin Says:

Although I don’t have that many, I have all kinds of weird jewelery that would make the hugest mess if I just stored them in a box. So hear out my ways of storing them:)

For my necklaces I have an old wooden hay rake on my bedroom wall. It’s so convenient and it’s decorative too and it holds many necklaces.

For my earrings I have an old crocheted cloth that hangs in my closet. Almost all my earrings have hooks, you see. Again - very convenient and holds many many.

And for my rings…I have a stuffed lonely glove standing on my chest of drawers.

    You jealous?:)

  16. alicepleasance Says:

This is a new version of “what’s in my wardrobe” , it looks like “what’s in my dining room”! And you actually have a lot of nice things in your dining room!!!!

  17. idafres Says:

    så mange vesker!! helt herlig

  18. Robin Claire Says:

    GOOD LUCK!

  19. sariti Says:

the pics look so good…it’s a mess, yeah, but a very stylish one… ;.)

  20. Lara Says:

I’m going to show these pictures to my boyfriend. He use to say I have too many (haha) clothes, shoes and accessoires.

  21. Margarita Says:

Cool everything! I would recommend buying those plastic boxes sold at art supply stores that are used to store beads. I’ve been using them for quite some time and they help maintain everything organized (for the most part)…they are super cheap too, like $2 each.

  22. Mashaal Says:

I would die to have a messy appartment like that. I would forever leave it messy!

  23. Prêt-à-Porter Prostitute Says:

u could open a vintage shop! or an ebay store.

  24. Miou Says:

    Your dressing kills me….

  25. Anika Says:

I am honestly drooling over the amounts of jewelry you have there, not to forget all those shoes and clothes! Major envy.

  26. Ida Says:

Ohh, you have so many pretty things, and your jewelry! a little bit envious;)

  27. SwanDiamondRose Says:

    omg!

  28. Anna Says:

Your mess looks hot, and if you threw in a couple of models I can see it being the set for a fashion shoot :)

I recently did a similar sort out, and found that an old tie rack was perfect for holding necklaces. Pretty, old champagne glasses are perfect for hanging earrings around the rims, and I keep my rings on a jewellry hand or in my vivienne westwood shotglasses. Oh! And as obvious and silly as it sounds, those clear plastic shoe boxes really are perfect for keeping them sorted out, especially if you have enough space to stack them.

Sorry if this post wasn’t meant for storage ideas - but I think you can never have enough storage ideas (…just like you can never have enough costume jewellry…)Make sure you post when you’re all sorted out!

  29. rachel Says:
