Wide Brimmed Hats
Filed in: Accessories, Designers, Fashion, Trend Alerts
Wide brimmed hat is such a classy summer accessory. I put great use into my black H&M hat of last year, but black often feels a little dark for summer, and I wouldn´t mind a different one…
Tracy Reese, Badgley Mischka and Michael Kors.
United Bamboo, DKNY and Douglas Hannant.

ooh i love those! i just don’t have a hat-head :( (i had been looking around like crazy for a cute slouchy beret this winter, but they just make my head look large :()

Joanna, please do! I used to think I wasn´t a hat person either until I found the right ones.
Haha Claudia, my husband has the same problem! It´s probably not as bad as you think though, even my husband´s head would look small under a hat like this. ;)

don’t you already have one? if not, i can already imagine you rocking one… oh wait, now that i read the post… you do have one.
i saw a two toned wide brimmed at at a charity shoppe the other day, i wanted it but it was $75… yikes.

Oh, that is too much for secondhand stuff unless it´s utterly fabulous or some vintage designer item! I guess H&M will come to their rescue again, hats like usually not need to be expensive to be nice.

Veldig dramatisk og elegant Sunniva! Jeg liker den litt diva-aktige greien med at hatten henger ned foran øynene, litt som Michael Kors sin, men elegant mer på en Tracy Reese-måte. :)

oh, they realy look gorgeous…i used to have 4 or 5 but i throwed them …why? why? why? :D anyway…i’m not a hats-fan but well…they used to be in MY CLOSET, right? oh, whatever..i’ll try not to be sad because of that. if i had known that you are a hat-fan, i would have send them to you, agathe…they were pretty…realy..but wel..this was long time ago..anyway long time before hats began to be on the runway and i met you-sorry
P.S.: Agathe, i’ve send you an e-mail at hello@stylebytes.net. Did you received it?

Never ever throw things out! I do it myself though. I recently threw out a pair of parrot earrings from when I was a kid only to realize a couple of months later that I want just those kinds of earrings!
I scrolled down the list of unreplied mails, but no Claudia, when did you send it?

Call me crazy, you wouldn’t be the first, but I love that Micheal Kors number. It’s very Audrey Hepburn in “Two for the Road”.

You should check Rodarte’s website (rodarte.net). They have wonderful hats (and the dresses are gorgeous too :)).

I was at a trade show a couple weeks ago ordering Spring and Summer hats and was amazed at the number of wide brimmed ladies hats. Betmar and Scala are both making some great styles for 2008.

don’t you feel like you bring a little too much attention to yourself if you’re the only one wearing it on a busy street?? that’s practically prob the only thing that’s keeping me back from going out and buying a whopper of a hat whether big and floppy or a top hat
January 29th, 2008 at 4:30 pm
I’ve planned to buy a floppy hat for the summer this year, so thank you for the pictures :-)
P.S. I’ve got something for you in my blog ;-)
