Day Off
Filed in: Misc
I have a day off from work and these kinds of days really make you see things in a different way. While I had planned to sleep in, something that turns out to be impossible with a little pig that wants to be fed, I am kind of glad I didn´t. It´s so nice to get up early to catch the little sunlight that comes in through the windows of our ground floor apartment. I can take the time to admire the new things I got this weekend. Even though I didn´t find as much clothes as I had hoped for I found this great blue ceramic vase. Probably not worth a dime, but I love the look of it.
And the Bambi figurine (to the far right). It doesn´t at all go with the collection I already have, so it was actually the first thing I bought for a future nursery.
The white flowers. I don´t have any potted plants, but buy fresh flowers once in a while instead.
And I can enjoy a long breakfast with tea and hard boiled eggs with lots of butter.
I was going to just stay in today and do all kinds of little things around the house, but I know myself well enough to know that I will be getting restless soon. I will rather go out and stop by some thrift shops and cook a nice dinner when I get home.

Is this a avocado? Yummi!
I love to cook when I have a free day. As often as I can I try to prepare a nice dinner for my boyfriend. Last time I did 5course menu, that was fun!
So what are you going to cook?

Wow I like your woodland animal figurine collection. I like deer and I’m studying about how this ancient nomad tribe had admire deer as an animal god in modern history (I’m more of studying about the Ice Maiden). Deer and and other elegant animals such as unicorns and horses are a recent trend here in Australia like on necklaces and oversized tees and badges. I see you’re planning on children in the near future. Good luck!

i also love accessory shopping for the home as much as i love (vintage and thrifting) shopping. i feel that accessorizing the home is in many many ways similar to dressing oneself. lovely acquisitions agathe.;)

Hi Agathe,
what kind of job have you?
Do you wear the same clothes all day like you post on your blog at night?
And what type of camera do you use? I really like the clearness in your pictures lately!
have a nice day off!

Anne, I´m cooking a caserole with lamb, eggplant, chick peas and lots of good spices. No five course meal though!
Kate, no children quite yet, but since I am married, have bought a place and all that, it really seems like the next logical step. I´d like to move out of the city first though.
Lise, I currently have a substitute job as a secretary at a psychiatric hospital. Even though I love it there, I won´t be having that job for ever. I want to do something a little more creative. At work I dress much more casual, partially cause I hate getting dressed early in the morning, and partially cause it wouldn´t be very practical with heels and dresses for work. The camera I use is Nikon D40.
Have a wondeful day all of you!

Hi, I love your blog. You’re such an inspiration. Lovely things you’ve found. But I must ask the bluish glass vase to the right, do you what kind it is? I seem to a a similar but much bigger . I found it at my granddads attic in Dalarna, Sverige so I don’t know any thing about it.

Tea and boiled eggs are my favorite breakfast, that’s crazy. :)
But with toast too.
Love your little figurines. And the flowers are lovely.

Anna, I got it at a design market and if you have a big one like this it’s probably worth a litle bit. It’s Scandinavian design, but I am not very good at glasswear so I’m not sure who made it.
Amelia, I’ve always hated kids and never wanted one of my own, but I’m starting to feel like it wouldn’t be so bad after all. ;)
