Make-Up
Filed in: Beauty
Several of you have asked what kind of make-up I wear, so here it is. Not all of this is in my daily routine as I usually don´t bother with foundation and all of that. On a busy day I´ll only wear concealer, pressed powder, mascara, a light eye shadow and blush. If I´m going all out, this is it.
Estée Lauder Spotlight skin tone perfector (base before foundation), Estée Lauder Individualist foundation, YSL compact powder, YSL touche éclat (concealer), Sebastian eye brow trio, Chanel powder blush in Sphère (I´d like a different color), Lancôme Hypnôse mascara, Lancôme Liner design (eye liner), Shu Uemura lash curler, old Body Shop blush brush, Sephora eye shadow brushes, MAC eye shadows in girlie satin, smut velvet and shroom satin, Chanel lipstick in barcelona red, Clinique superbalm lipgloss and nail polish, often either Chanel or Nubar.
All of these are products I am very pleased with and that I have ended up with after a lot of testing so I can happily recommend every single thing in here. What I would like to find is the perfect mascara (there´s always something wrong with them), the perfect color blush and more eye shadow colors (I tend to only wear pink, brownish grey and black).

Not at all topic, but is your table also from Ikea?
Thanks for the make-up tips!

Yes it is, from the Stockholm line. I looked all over for a dining table prepared to put some money in one, and the nicest one I found ended up being at Ikea! :)

Have you ever tried Chanel “Inimitable” Mascara?? It’s the best I have tried, I am really happy with it. It thickens and lenghtens your lashes, but makes no clumps!! One of the rare ones that does what it says.

Prøv Chanels øyenskyggekvartetter - god kvalitet og fine farger! :)

Lucie, never tried it, but I will! Thanks!

I am a bit of a makeup horse (if thats even a term) and I recommend:
blush
High end: Nars Blush in Orgasm - It was referred to me by a makeup artist and have loved it ever since.
Low End: Mark by Avon in After Glo - A good cheap swap out that achieves a very similar look to the Nars.
Masacara
High End - Dior Show - This stuff is amazing for look at me lashes.
Low end - Maybelline Lash Exact - It has the power of good ole maybelline mascara but a great brush that prevents any clumping.
Just my two cents! :)

if you bring 6 empty containers back to mac they will give you a free lipstick.

I use the MAC eyeshadows as well, they are very good. I can recommend you the color ‘green smoke’. It is my favourite. It is a good alternative to a grey shadow.
As a mascara I’m fond of ‘High Definition Lashes Brush Then Comb Mascara’ by Clinique. It has a comb and brush on it which is very useful.

Thank you for all your tips! Finding the right make-up is really just about trial and error.

DIORSHOW, the best mascara I’ve had in years, and I have been using it for a couple now. Super good for sensitive eyes as well as it gives you amazing lashes!

I highly recommend Clinique mascara. I’ve been searching for years and years for the perfect mascara, and so far the Clinique Lash Doubling Mascara is my absolute favorite.

Chanel Inimitable is pretty awesome. I’m just headed out to go get myself some barcelona red lipstick! This post was so helpful and generous, thanks!

i love the astor “long life mascara”. it’s cheap and the design is not something i would call beautiful, but its the one i go back to, after i’d tested the higher-priced like mac & co …

Hi Agathe,
which foundation do you use? Is it the individualist foundation pale amond, beige, fresco or sand?
Thanks

uuhh, it´s so hard to find the perfect mascara….and recommanding your favourite to others is often not very helpful - cause lashes are sooo different. a mascara will perfectly work for yours but makes no improvement on another persons.
my favourite is “bad gal lashes” by benefit.(my lashes are long but thin, i need more volume…and the bad gal helps!!)

DIOR SHOW and LANCOME!!
and for low-end: MAYBELLINE! it works like magic!!!
does anyone have any recommendations when it comes to LIP GLOSS and eyeliners??
i need some new ones and i wanna try out something different..i usually get benefit and MAC for lip gloss, and for liner i usually get mac…
any tips would be lovely.
GREAT POST!

The Clinique mascara with the comb is surprisingly good, although I still find clinique high impact mascara to be the best. A little bit of both I guess. Also, I decided that sample size mascaras are better than normal sizes (not to mention they are free); they don’t lump-clump as much and they don’t dry out before it’s finished. Easy to carry too.
yasmin, I use maybelline liquid liner I wouldn’t even try anything else, it lasts all day&night yet can be removed with a wet cotton (I dunno how they achieved that). Besides the brush thing is very practical.
